    ramblings from the hope chest

    ...in the attic
    in the hope chest
    there are bundles
    of his letters
    tied together with
    thin, satin ribbons

    & every year
    on lover's eve
    with the flames
    of 7 candles
    making silhouettes
    upon the wall
    to the sweetest
    music ever made,

    she burns the
    scented oils

    quietly disrobes

    spreads his words across
    her cotton sheets
    and lays herself
    upon them

    lady poets

    Kitana & Lister

    my beautiful poetic sisters...

that woman is who I was, am, and am becoming....I see her "up there"...already knowing my end, from my beginnings. And much of what she "tells" me now...I haven't even begun to understand.

The woman represents the "fullness of time" for/to me.

You humble me and that crazy lady in the attic, with your words. I am honored.

    Thank you
