in order to be a true atheist does that mean that one has never had a extra sensory experience at all?
nothing has ever happened in your life that does not fall within proscribed guidelines?

myself, i have had several experiences that cannot be explained.

i had an electric blanket. it burned out one night. i was sound asleep at the time.
i saw the blue flame shoot out from the transformer and i got up and dis connected it.
i saw the blue flame from a perspective above my bed.
if i am sound asleep how do i see anything at all?
if i am laying in my bed how do i see the blue flame from above my bed?
to me this is an extra sensory experience.

If there is nothing beyond "Flesh and Bones" and let alone "Western Science" then how come it has been proven that one could "Astral Project" let alone have an out of body experience.....

If this is all "Psychological" then how come through the power of Spirit we can Heal, Perform "Miracles" and let alone witness Possessions in various forms of Ritual through out all Religions and especially African ones?

In some of these ceremonies people can walk on fire, play with fire without injury and then intake enough alcohol that would lead to alcohol "poisoning" according to "Western Science"...

These are just a few of more than likely countless other "unexplained phenomena" ( by Western Sciences Standards ) let alone the very "Extra Sensory" Potentials spoken of that in my opinion SMASH atheism in its fore head and sends these "Western" Scientists back into their books again only to be smashed again in the future..

    Peace.. Peace..

Atheism is a weird word. It describes people who basically don't have any belief in a personal god (usually the definition is extended to any gods). I guess the best examples I've ever heard are considering not collecting stamps a hobby or bald a hair color.

I don't think this would necessarily exclude someone who believes in ESP, Alien abductions etc.

Unexplainable as in there is no explanation or unexplainable as in I don't have an explanation?

In the former, "No one knows" or "Who knows?" is good enough. In the later, "I don't know" or "No idea" is good enough.Either way, no real reason to ascribe it to something divine.

I just told you what I do in both situations. I think you can take that as a no I don't.
