A fair brown skin lady born with Malcolm X's n MLK's mentals in her

The freshness of 90's hip-hop ever vibrant in her look

Heart of a lion courageously battled adversity in the days of slavery

Captivating was her vibe for she was original starting with her style

Sexy n conservative all natural with her hair no weave n perm untamed n wild

Was she something about her i can't explain it got to me

Honestly i think i fell into her the first day she layed eyes on me

Mutual was the feeling for an understanding was there

    Respect n admiration was there

Loved the fact the i cared signs showed some real feelings in the air

All was good untill tough times rendered her ugly head

Fought her off untill till temptation sank in

Hard times called for drastic measures to cope

So i resort to drugs to get me through the rainy days

While my lady started feeling a certain way

Start feeling real sickly due to all the drugs in me

Compelled by the rush of the high so i further poisoned her

By injecting myself with all these drugs n as they killed my health

    They killed hers too

I didn't know what to do

I couldn't think for i was high all the time wondering why i'm stumbling

It was untill it was too late that i realized

That hard times was playing the role of a scandolous trick

The proof in the needles she had in which she said wouldn't make me feel bad

And in term cause the death of the one i loved most

Enternally guilty why the **** would do this **** to me

n Simply put she said no reason i wanted to **** with your head

What you gonna do ? nothing now to late she's dead

I look over to her n realized how i poisoned her insides

Go outside n see dead bodies on the ground needles in their arms

Progress stopped we back to primative ways on the block

No longer young n vibrant my lady looks sickly n old she lays there silent

She takes her last breath n afterwards she's escorted by death

I'm the guilty one in all this ignorance is truely bliss

Theres nothing i can do to re-write my wrongs

I am the death of my cultured lady now she's dead n gone

    Wow.

I can see this literally speaking of the death of a loved one from their s/o's drug use and metaphorically speaking to the death of our communities.

    Well laid out piece.

    Sho nuff.

    Great Flow MiKe

There once was caring within the community.
There was a BrotherHood, and SisterHood.
The Younger generation is feeling lost.
Possibly will never see. Never feel. The connection to pride.

Funny thing.. look up the word (PRIDE), it is defined as arrogant.
Since words have muliple meanings. This word also means self-respect.

The issue becomes bringing in the return of the good times.
Sprinkling the air with some hope and sunshine. We must bring it back?and

    Thank You for Sharing
