De’ Old Slave de Hypocrite

De’ slave he talk about me, don’t want to be free,
de’ man who hide behind de’ the slave an’ he talk about you;
An’ Dat’s de way, the Charlie man, tell de’ master de’ plan,
Tries to stop me from crossing, da’ river of de dead,
That’s de uncle Charlie plan, he put de’ blocks in da’ way
Lord de devil come in de’ black face.
De’ slave with da’ whip upon da’ back,
De’ slave try to make the master love him best.

Old Black Man Knowable
Ole man Know, the Hippocratic oath,
Survival de slave man cry,
All’s tongue, send de slave man to the shed.
He jus know’d ev’rything under de sun
Playing in the master house, de master say
Good nigg—his best prize.
He da’ outlaw lawyer, for da’ master
Keep us nigg—in our plac​
