Glad to be back at home...Missed all the positive energy.
This piece may look like it's written messed up, but I wrote it how I felt and said it to myself....Peace

    The Art of Day Dreaming;
Truly a favorite past time of
    Mine. Destinations are without itinerary
as with each day… comes a surprise
And I.. take those.. ugly images
    of. ghetto landscapes
and.. transform them into to something
    great. With.. Picturesque scenes
    of…picket fences, kites suspended
    over yards luscious and
    green..and even though deep down
this seems sweet ,wholesome, and serene
    some sort of “American Dream”
    My daily routine of..
    being a kid,
Regardless of where I want to go or
wish to do, is… often filled
    with…. Shades.. of.
    blue moods.
and The winds die down leaving me grounded on
urban runways named for fallen heroes
Like the insomniac, no matter how woozy
my dreaming in the day makes me
    the reality of my environment…
awakes me, and it seems I can’t
escape the place to which it takes me
    where… victims of chemical war-fare
    continue to..
crack under the relentless assault of ..
    conspiracies
    carefully devised..with…
    crafty narcotic concoctions to…
    bring about their demise…
    And…Black mothers performing
    heart-wrenching vocals …
While…. squad car symphonies sound off
    In unison, serenading the locals
Nevertheless Piloted by my mind’s eye
Metaphysically fueled… I continue to fly to..
    Places far and unseen
    where… we are justly anointed
    and FREE.
    residing in a kingdom
you and me, as kings and queens
a place far Better than the prison I awake to
    after being rocked to sleep
    by the “American Dream”

    :)

I actually like your version of "messed up," afrostotle. Keep pushing at the edges.

    Don't ever loose the gift.

The minds ability to take a trip.
    To far off places.
    Releasing dreams.

    To turn the world into
    what you seem to
    view as beauty, and
    awsome bliss.

    I journey like this each
    time I miss.
    Each time I need
    to create a space.

Better than the one I find.
Close my eyes release my mind.
    It renews me.

    When I return from
    the trip I took.
I find I have found solutions.

Or a new direction I should try.
You can only find these these
    things when you dream.
    You can only set goals.
    When you dare to dream.
    Deep in your minds eye.

Thanks for the love. I apologize for not visiting the site (or should I say, "sorry I haven't been at home lately") Personal battles often need to be fully onset, fierce, and dealt with, before you can share and expressyour thought process.
    .........One love
