I am trying to make it happen
Yes, trying to keep moving with my life
There are no words to describe
How much I miss my wife
I keep hearing, “all things happen for a reason”
But still, the reasons do not feel right
Now, loneliness & despair keep calling me
    Each & every night
My meals don’t have the same flavor
My skies don’t appear as bright
I am in battles with heartache & fear
Battles I don’t know how to fight
    Holing back so many tears
And it is taking all my might
My life feels inundated by darkness
I’m just trying to find some light

I am trying to make it happen
Taking life a day at a time
Still making it to work everyday
Because, now I really need every dime
    I still do have aspirations
I don’t want to fall too far behind
I cannot see what’s over my hill
But yes, I’m still trying to climb
    The challenge is maintaining focus
With the thoughts looming in my mind
Never knew how bad I’d suffer
As the victim of such a crime
I’m hoping the Lord can hear me
Because I keep praying for a sign
    Where are all the answers?
And why are they so hard to find?

Dedicated to my wife Ali I. Gilmore
"I miss you so much Ali"

Your killing me. I felt each and every word.
What you feel for your wife is such a beautiful thing.
I dont mean to pry, but your piece sounds
like you two are separated from each other
whatever the case may be, I sure hope you are united again.
If she has read this she won't be able to stay away long.:)

    My Brother...
It's always been said that "Women love hard" ..."Women hurt deeper" ...and so on.
I've learned in life that...The door swings both ways...
In as much as pain is not a good thing...it is.
We live, learn, grow...and become wise from our pain, none is above it..or below it.
We all deal with it, our way. If you entertain it, ..it's you'res to have and hold.
All will work out fine for you, take and use it to mend you first. Then know in your heart...that, Tomorrow's sun will be brighter.

I don't know why the answers are so hard to find, but I think its probably because we need the questions. The questions keep us alive, help us survive and keep us remembering so that we don't forget. Your piece is deeply felt.

Wow...your words cut like a knife. The realization that forever is being cut short, is quite painful. There are some questions that we never know the precise answers to, yet we continue to live and grow, somehow. This was heart wrenching.

Thanks for the positive feedback, lord knows I need it.
Actually, the root of my heartache is not because Ali and I are seperated, but because she is a "Missing Person" and the way things are going, I may never know what happened to her.

I feel your pain sweetheart. In the past, I too have lost a loved one. Lost in a sense of the person falling off to the wayside, where they are no longer recognizable, spiritually. Warmest regards to you and your loved one. I sincerely hope she makes it back h:heart:me safe, and pray your heart mends ((((HUGZ)))) :spinstar:
