I was just walkin' 'round the house thinkin', and as usual a song popped into my old head... It was the classic TEMPTATIONS hit, MY GIRL... The beautfiul opening riffs by James Jamerson on bass, and Robert White on guitar, to the preacher's wail of Mississippi-born David Ruffin, it reminded me of my childhood, and how, for the first time in my five years on the planet, I saw how music can make people behave so strangely, so silly(smile!)

I don't need no money, or just my fame...

I got all the riches, baby, one man can claim...

Oh, I guess you say, what can make me feel this way???

My Girl, My Girl, My Girl...talkin' 'bout My Girl...

Just wanted to pay tribute to the guys who made the soundtrack of our lives, the Temptin' Tall Tantalizin' Temptations, whose lead singers, Mr. David Ruffin and Alabama-born falsetto, Mr. Eddie Kendricks wrote the book on how an R&B Vocal quintet should look, dance, dress, and sing in the 1960's, and early '70's... They each became ancestors at the age of 50 in the early 1990's... RIP DAVID & EDDIE...

The sun is shining, there's plenty of light(OH, YEAH!)
A new day is dawning, sunny and bright(OH YEAH!)
But after I've been crying all night
The Sun is Cold, and the new day seems OLD...
    Since I Lost My Baby...

    Peace!

    The Temptations
    I Wish It Would Rain

Sunshine, blue sky, please go away,
My girl has found another, and gone away
With her went my future, my life is filled with gloom,
So day after day, I stay locked up in my room

I know to you it might sound strange,
I wish it would rain (oh how I wish that it would rain)
    Oh yeah, yeah, yeah

    Cause so badly
I wanna go outside (such a lovely day)
Everyone knows that a man ain't supposed to cry
But listen, I got to cry, cuz crying, ooooooooh,
    Eases the pain, oh yeah

Yeah you know people, this hurt I feel inside,
    Words, they, could never explain,
I just wish it would rain (oh how i wish that it would rain)
Oh let it rain, rain, rain, rain (oh how i wish that it would rain)
    Ooooooh baby

    Let it rain (rain, rain)
    Oh yeah, let it rain

Day in day out, my tear stained face
    Pressed against my window pane
Eyes search the skies, well, desperately for rain
Cause rain drops will hide my teardrops and no one will ever know
That I'm crying (crying) crying (crying)
    When I go outside

To the world outside my tears I refuse to explain,
I wish it would rain (oh how I wish that it would rain)
Rain, rain, rain (oh how I wish that it would rain)
    ooooh baby

    Let it rain
I need rain to disguise the tears in my eyes
Yeah, You know I'm a man, I and I got my pride,
Til it rains, I'm gonna stay inside,
Let it rain, Let it rain
    Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah...
    Oh how
I wish that it would rain...

You know, brother $$Rich$$, I sometimes listen to these brothers for therapeutic reasons... They, and other artists and their songs, help me to remember my childhood, my past, and that helps me to untangle a lot of knots in my soul... For that alone, I owe a great debt of gratitude to these brothers, as well as, the two other TEMPTATIONS, Paul Williams and Melvin Franklin, who've also gone on to ancestorship... Like I said before, they all provided the soundtracks of our lives, a clear vision through the dark tunnel of memory...

    Peace!
