I roam
Seeking casualties
Of this thing called love
Feelings of affections
Transformed into feelings
Of loathing
Hurt
Rejection
Heartaches
Eating away
At the core of your being
Building up walls around your heart
Vowing to never allow hurt to penetrate
Trust is no longer an option
Suspicion reigns
Love is for fools
Just get what you need and leave
Commitment
Is of the past
Do unto others
as they have done unto you
this is your philosophy
this is what gives me strength
for in this
I live
To avenge those in prose
Victimized by Eros
Cupid’s broken arrows
Signifying broken promises
Broken hearts and destroyed dreams
Illusionary worlds
Only serves to shadow
The dark truth
