I’m thinking quietly today
In the midst of a crowd
Watching commuters traverse
And wonder of their thoughts;
I sit along on the train
Staring out the window
Wondering if I shall see
My future walking by;
I enjoy my life alone as I
Avoid lonely for patience
Keeps me quiet and “at
Peace” keeps me at bay;
I see a woman alone
Grasping her purse as she
Awaits the train constantly
Surveying her environment;
Her beauty intrigues me
But it’s not her outer shell
For I sense the beauty I
See dwells deep within;
I watch as she enters the train
Meticulously moving through the
Crowd and by chance she looks
My way as she sits across from me;
Her aura is sweet as it
Dances with my intrigue
Leaving me guessing about
This pearl in a bed of stones;
I begin to imagine her with me
Wlaking through the mall holding
Tightly to my arm as we stare into
The glass display at our future;
My dreams are gone and now I’m
saddened for I see doubt and fears
laughing at me, reminding me that
I’m not worthy of beauty such as she;
yet my peace is returned when I
stare her way only to discover
her staring at me as she smiles,
pulls her hair back to reveal…
A cross.
"Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him.
~Mark 11:23
But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind.
