Who will give you Daddy Hugs
Who will kill those mean little bugs
Who will tuck you in at night
When thunder roars
Who willl hold you tight

Those little girl days
Forever remain deep in my heart
As I count down the days
Before we must part

I struggle to find the words to say
How much you mean to me
How I adore you
****... I knew I was going to cry
Thinking of you not being here
The apple of your daddy's eye

I've been going over all the things we do
From movies and having ice cream
To talking and reading newspapers
And watching Comicview

You've kept me young and silly
Giving me the specialness
of a daughters unrestricted love
I wonder if you'll be alright
without your daddy's hug

BE :(

I've been reading

and re-reading, and I'm feeling what you're feeling...remembering when I went away when it was my time to fly from the nest.
But my Father was resourceful and very economical... so that the very next time we laid eyes on each other, we embraced tightly for several minutes.

Save all your Daddy Hugs. I guarantee they'll still be needed.

Beautifully expressed, BE. Thank you for sharing.

BE, YOU ARE BLESSED AMONG MEN!

I TELL YOU MY FRIEND YOU ARE BLESSED AMONG MEN
FOR YOU REALIZE THE BEAUTY OF A WOMANS FIRST LOVE
HER DADDY!
YOU HAVE SHAPED HER INTO THE WOMAN SHE IS TODAY
AND NO MATTER HOW NEAR OR FAR AWAY
SHE WILL STILL NEED AND FEEL HER DADDY IN EVERY WAY!
YOU ARE BLESSED AMONG MEN FOR YOUR LOVE IS PROFOUND...
SO MANY OF US JUST WISH DADDY WAS STILL AROUND!
BLESSINGS ON YA HOUSE!
PS FREQUENT FLYER MILES! AND LOADS OF SMILES AND CONGRATS TO THE CAGED BIRD THAT FLY'S FREE!

Having 1 daughter and 3 sons, I remember the difference when it was her turn to go off to college. I was pitiful. Stayed in a motel nearby for four days just in case she needed anything.

It's gonna be a little rough, Brotha. But it eases up after a while. And the other thing is, the girls come back. She's grown, on her own, and right down the street in the next town. We get together every other weekend. There are rays that peek through the gray. You'll begin to see it, in time.

Peace
