Brooklyn, New York
in OUR every day lives
we understand no success without
ccmpromise
da lows da highs
da fall da rise

depending on your perspective
biased and selective
don't lose sight of da message
from da streets in da concrete trenches
tales of da hood endless
no time for repentance

we're branded and marked wit da bullseye
limited means but still "gettin" by
born to die
under God's eye

they try to sweep us under da rug
like we don't exist
cause we ain't rich
saying our neighborhoods are nothing but
crime and drugs
but there are good people here we ain't
all thugs
and da noise don't pay da bills cause

we work hard for our little crumbs
like a fugitive on da run
ducking cops and thugs wit guns
trying to feeds our family and get da job done
peace of mind is all we want
we have no voice cause we have no funds

but i wish
we wouldn't spend our money so foolish
pool together our resources
become a vital FORCE
change da course
of DESTINY

my core message is between da lines
they hit u if ur 3rd I isn't blind
so here i am trying
til da day i'm dying

feel it in your mental
feel it in your bones muscle and dental

PURE GRIT
and da survival kit

Da Street So'ja
from da streets
coming in PEACE
