A moment of reflection
About the break in time
When summer greets fall
As a breeze becomes winds;

I close my eyes today to think
About the aroma carried in on
The breeze of the beginning of
School and the end of summer;

If you sit quietly on a hill of fresh
Cut grass you may be able to find
The moment the breeze changes
To give you a whiff of your past;

The scent cannot be explained as
A simple aroma for it arrives in
Many forms and fashion but will
Always remind us fall has arrived.

It causes excitement full of curiosity
As it captures reminiscent within
anticipation about your first like,
first crush, first kiss and first love;

It takes you into dreams of days
You wished to never repeat and
Moments you desire to revisit for
The sheer life changing lesson;

And yet today all you wish for is
The chance to be swept away by
The aroma carried on a breeze of
Reflection into a quiet daydream.

every line, every verse... incredible.... this peace, outstanding in its entirety...

but this

"It takes you into dreams of days
You wished to never repeat and
Moments you desire to revisit for
The sheer life changing lesson;

And yet today all you wish for is
The chance to be swept away by
The aroma carried on a breeze of
Reflection into a quiet daydream"

...is me completely ...

thank you Poet
