if we are in a recession and we are all cutting back
i feel that expansion from past years needs to be cut back
each league could afford to "lose" a couple of cities
    i'll start with the NBA

four teams that should go IMO

    LA Clippers
    Sacramento
    Toronto
    Charlotte

    NFL - 2 teams

    Buffalo Bills
    Seattle Seahaws

    MLB - 4 teams

    Colorado Rockies
    Florida Marlins
    Kansas City Royals
    Baltimore Orioles

    NHL - 4 teams

    Phoenix Coyotes
    Colorado Avalanche
    New York Islanders
    Tampa Bay Lightning

also i feel competition would pick up in all these leagues

I agree but i think every city with two teams should convert into one ...
    and make one major team

Great idea, but Teams should not be cut back - extra staff and personnel should be cut back first. Franchises can rise and fall from season-to-season.

    no

    i'm talking cutting whole teams

the extra staff will get good severence with the fire sale

of course franchises fall from season to season a team can't win every game

so i'm saying let every league cut down on teams

    as my original post states
