Black People : Culture, Culture

Exactly brother Clyde,

Although as a people we may differ on many things; however, we must celebrate us whenever possible. I am also thinking of having a Christian celebration or at least an exhibit at the Quilts festival because the fact is the Christian beliefs of our people influenced a lot in our culture, even the desire of our ancestors to seek freedom or fight our oppressors. Oneness!

For sure Blackbird, we have more points of common interests, as a people, than we do differences, so; it should be easy for us to table differences and unite on the points of common interests.

Without a doubt, the early church served as a meeting place to conduct slave business, etc. as well. Nothing wrong with honoring that aspect, along with the Bible became Nat Turner's reading primer, which led to the revolt, yep!

What element of Black culture in America do you feel deserves to be showcased more than it presently is?

If you were to design a festival or celebration for the community to highlight this element, what would it look like?

What do you mean by element? Give me an example. :)
