I woke up with a smile
    my smile went away
    because I read about
    another precious child

    with no place to stay.

    I read about a sister
left her baby with some man
he shook the lil one to death

    I just don't understand

And then I saw my girlfriend
she was goin to the club
So I ask her where her child was

    And what she's thinkin of.

My nephew came to see me
he said his pops got shot
And his momma already knock'd up

He said that breaks his heart

    I saw my other nephew
I wish I could change the way he act
    But he very angry

His momma just gave birth to a baby that's on crack

    I saw my other nephew
Matter fact he lives up in my crib
    His momma need a kidney

    And she takin his

    manye this fuels the fire
because I am such a girl
all this pain our children face

makes me wanna change the world!!

for them at least while they gotta be here.

What we need more of is people who THINK about the chirrens. I just got my 14 yr. old daughter back from her moms cuz I have GOT 2 be involved. So many of our princes & princesses are lost 2 ignorance because moms or pops cant give up their fun ways, and the child suffers, which mean WE as a people suffer.

    Very, very nice write.

When a child is in pain, we feel the weight of the world upon our shoulders. Feeling this write Miss Lady.

Let's all bow to the children...
*To the baby born on crack:
I'll instill you with love, till you get on track.
*To all other children without a father or mother:
lean on me child, I'll be your cover.
    Mothers:
We put our life on the line when giving birth to our child,
the minute they enter life, we wear that big smile.
It was truely worth all that labor and pain...
as we proudly give that baby our name.
Please give them a chance at life, like it was given to you,
cause without you Mom...their poor life is through!!

    Fathers:
Where's your Son? ..and who's mistreating your daughters?
at what corner are they out there begging for quarters?
Be the King of Kings, and catch them when things sometimes go wrong,
Hang in there, be with them ..until they are strong.

    Wonderful piece of work poet...^5
