I know you are out there

I
sense
your face among
the crowd

I
smell
the scent of
you passing in the wind

I know you are out there

because…

birds
carry the sound
of your voice in their chorus

relationships…

some
have come and
gone and left me with the taste of
bittersweet memories

but…

I don’t regret any

I
see
lovers loving
each other all around me lips and arms
lock together

I don’t envy them

they
ensue dreams of
us in the future living a life together
full of love and
happiness

there
were flowers delivered
just because

romantic
nights cuddled
on sandy beaches waiting
for the sun to come over the horizon

our
eyes and
smiles were lit up
with the love shared between us

and…

making
love was the best time
of our day


those
images keep
me out of the arms of
loneliness

until
our
lives
cross

I know you are out there

somewhere
searching for me
as I am searching for you

I
have
faith

in
time our
souls will be revealed to
each other
