I did view the entire video. All I can say is that this gives me one more reason not to vote for Barack Obama in the next election. In fact done even discussing politics. This is sickening. I knew this was going on but the fact that Obama authored that legislation then turns around and not only sanctions the overthrow of Kadafi but also sending troops to support these murderers in the Congo and Uganda....wow...

I've been hearing about this for years. But to see it, is even harder to believe. I just wish it wasn't so. It does sicken me, and in your hart you know why this nation keeps doing this, and this nation(media) does not cover the sickening atrocities. You know full well why this is going on.

Helping the Congo is my main political goal.

I hate the idea of organizing phone calls to representatives and I dislike the idea of marching in front of the UN.

I want to organize African people to outright buy the minerals. Let the soldiers not be influenced to steal it.

I believe that the Ancestors will put me on that road and I will do their desires proud.

    Hotep!

My initial reaction to the video was:
African people, you have shut down the internet to speak freely, but you remain silent on the Congo. What **** good was your struggle?

    --

We all really should talk about joining organizations.

    --

But if I could comment on this videography, I realize more and more how materialist we are. The European has taken us so far from our spirituality, that even when we see tragedy, we do not concern ourselves with the people's spiritual backgrounds.

So many rituals, dances, priestly knowledge and more have been lost from colonialism, and the worst of the matter is that those of us so touched by these atrocities rarely speak to that devastation. It's telling. This is why we need to tell our story and this is why a European can not. What's sad is that more and more, we are losing our power to tell our story.

    Let us rise.

BigSky, you must never lose faith. That is how they got us in the first place.

Never misjudge your siblings. What's happening in the Congo can end, if we gain faith in our ability.

    Stay strong!

This is a good start about a discussion on the DRC, but it's a little more complex than the video presents. "Dancing in the Glory of Monsters" is a pretty good book that tries to tackle a pretty big subject.

One thing that needs to be pointed out more in my opinion is how patterns of consumption in the developed world contribute to political instability. If you own so much as a cellphone, computer, or any of the numerous digital devices out there you've contributed to problems like this. If you've purchased specialized building, industrial materials, car parts etc, you've also contributed to the problem. The corrupt supply chain for a lot of goods leads directly to consumers. A documentary on just those things alone I think would be pretty brilliant.
