This woman has totally validated my distrust in law enforcement and the judicial system. I can just imagine how many innocent brothers and sisters were caught up in this. Because as I already know, blacks are targeted/set up, when it comes to drug arrests.

This stinks:( How many of these people would have ended up in prison who should not be there. Something needs to be done to those who supervised her. No stone should be left unturned.

In the Spirit of Sankofa,

... Strangely, they haven't reported on what led to Annie being caught or how she was discovered obstructing justice; perhaps from an internal investigation.

The Governor has acted swiftly though:

Gov. Deval Patrick took part in a live chat on Patch Thursday. In it, he spoke about the scandal engulfing the State Drug Lab in Jamaica Plain.
That's where so-called "rogue chemist" Annie Dookhan is alleged to have tainted the evidence in as many as 34,000 cases. Thousands of drug dealers behind bars could go free (and some have already been released.)

GLOBE: First Convict Freed as Result of Scandal at Jamaica Plain Drug Lab

The Globe reports that David Danielli will be released two and a half years before his sentence is up. He had pleaded guilty. He will be returned to the status of someone accused of a crime but not guilty of it.

Peace In,

Here where I live, a police officer was planting evidence and just out right lying on people. He was caught finally, and they had to release about 150 people from prison. I just can imagine how many innocent people that woman was responsible for getting sent to prison.

Something is so wrong here...I really wonder if any of those who were sent to prison were Indian. All I can do is shake my head.
