    CREATING A BALANCE

It’s not the nature of the pendulum
    to stop in mid-swing!
    Time moves to and fro,
the good and the bad times
    mark their passage.

    Setbacks, troubles, suffering,
    struggles beyond counting:
these are the swings of life’s pendulum
    these are life’s experiences
from which we grow and mature.

Perhaps this is a good time
    to cheer ourselves on:
    contrary to popular belief,
    “life” is not a punishment.

so true are your words....life is such a beautiful gift...and how we spend the time given to us is up to us....we cannot go back, we cannot go forward, we can only live in the moment....

    Very inspiring and thought provoking!

Thanks for sharing your pearls of wisdom...I got that you meant
that we can go forward or backward but we cannot stand still
for time moves is ever changing and rearranging...
