My chest is consumed by your
Frame pressed against mine to
create a soliloquy of adoration;

I never lean back to stabilize our
Stance for when you have done all
that you can it is I that just stand;

I am your man not foe,
your love not hate,
your pleasure not pain,
your breathing not suffocation,
your determination not detriment,
your forever not temporary,
your future never your past;

I am the one who believes in the
you and I’m never wondering why
others seek to dismiss our first kiss
As momentary loss of consciousness

they attempt to revive you with a scent
of single now-single always medication
hoping to bring you back to your senses
of eternal Waiting to exhale…

Well my love, look to me with my arms open
to the formation of your frame so that when
you rest upon me you can be relieved to know
that my kiss is your God given respirator…

Breathe in…breathe out…. breathe in…breathe out…
