    Excitement left,
    slipping out the backdoor
    when I wasn't looking,
    leaving the storm door ajar
and my face pressed against the glass.

    Thrilling warmth
falls in a puddle at my feet,
    leaking into the air-conditioning,
    cooling my mind
    and my head.

Anything left unattended cools off after a while. Ages and stages, but the warmth remains, somehow, in a calmer state of mind. Deep flow.
