Man I love her..
I like that video in the back,I felt the music went good with it. Thanks!
beautifully and warmly soulful sound , I enjoyed this and i really never heard her music until now !
yeah.. that's what most people say.. I heard she's a school teacher in DC and
music is what she does on the side.. Her father is Dick Gregory.. she did
a song about him on her myspace page.. her
lyrical content is so sophisticated and emotionally mature.. and she is so
skilled vocally that all she needs is a single instrument to accompany her..
just something to imply the rhythm and the harmony.. There are so many
singers out there like her that have such depth and skill.. and none of them
have any commercial success because what they are doing is of us and for
us.. it's healthy.. it's communal.. it's inspiring.. and that is not what the
record business is about.. they lock our artists up in contracts that limit
what they can do and say.. contracts that give a white executive the last
word on what our artists can say to us.. it's really crazy.. that's why I like
the open mic scene.. it's all sharing for the sake of sharing..
true...........I love to hear more of her powerful depth she compose in her music
