Condoleeza Rice - The U.S. has a Birth Defect - Racism

    Saturday, March 29, 2008

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said that America's current struggle with race issues is a result from a national "birth defect" that at the country's founding, denied blacks the same opportunities as whites. In an interview with The Washington Times this week, Rice said that Black Americans were a founding population of this country. "Africans and Europeans came here and founded this country together - Europeans by choice and Africans in chains," she said. "That's not a very pretty reality of our founding."

    She said that?

Wow, I'm impressed that she said that. I always thought she was a self-hater.

Good for you Sister Rice! Bring the LIGHT to these people of DARKNESS.

Also, Queen Sister Destee, I hope you been good. Much love to ya.

    Awesome!

This was so good to read. Way to go Ms. Rice!

I love it when she said,

..."a paradox and contradiction in this country," which she says still has not been resolved."

Your point is a very vaild one, would you expound a little further on racism being a lie and a diversion (at this point), sounds quite interesting.

You have chosen to go down the path of an argument that can easily be substantiated. Overt racism has decreased, however racism itself is alive and kicking. Just because black people aren't routinely lynched in public, or can assimilate in a white neighborhood, or can procreate with a lower class, obese white woman doesn't mean racism is a lie. In fact you are the lie. It’s totally unconstructive and purely obfuscation in effect. Statics show that AA unemployment is twice the rate of whites, that Black poverty is 3 times the rate of white, that Black wealth is 10 times less than whites. It has been the environment and exposure to over 300 years of institutional white racism and oppression that has manifested this dysfunction. Do you believe this was done by default? Also, just ignore numerous studies which indicate how whites with criminal records are twice as likely to be hired over qualified Black applicants without criminal records. The judicial system is more likely to sentence a Black offender for a lesser crime than a white person for the same crime. Just conveniently ignore the data and science that went into this real life research.

Despite some parity in recent decades, whites as a collective group in Amerikkka on average still get paid more than AAs for doing the same work with the same amount of education, by some accounts about 30 to 35 percent more. Yet you say racism is a lie? Btw - Black farmers who are seeking new discrimination claims against the U.S. Agriculture Department for decades of unfair and racist policies must be making this up, right? People like you are so blinded that you cannot even see that you are defending the preservation of white privilege (probably because you are white in blackface) and advantage through the maintenance of the status quo. You cannot fix a problem if you are not willing to focus on it. This is why this "Post Racial" Obama nonsense is not good for promoting socioeconomic equality, because it refuses to focus on these racial gaps. General treatments are poor at treating non general conditions.

Would you happen to be one of those whitewashed negroes who believe slavery ended due to the kind heart of a handful of abolitionist whites? Truth of the matter is slavery did not end all by itself nor did it end due to the sudden humanity whites envisioned for Blacks. It was the Industrial revolution that made agrarian based slavery of less value to wealth creation. Also, let us not forget while the US was going around the world condemning communism and their human rights abuses Amerikkka's mistreatment of the Blacks became a foreign policy impediment in the Cold War against Communism and hence it became in the self interest of this nation to change laws aimed against AAs. Furthermore, as much as the US and western European countries practiced the art of divide and conquer, by supporting oppressed population within enemy nations, the US recognized its own vulnerability in keeping Blacks oppressed. It must be noted that the US democracy never grated Blacks full rights and freedom by way of the ballot box. Never! Rather, it was either war (civil war) or acts of the executive or legislative branches that defied the rule of the people. If our rights were left up to the ballot box and the white voters, Black progress in Amerikkka in would be what it was in 1960. But no, you say racism is a lie. GTFOH!
