I am looking for a _consise_ reference that could serve as a English grammar prerequisite for Strunk and White's "The Elements of Style" --- something that serves as a refresher course for topics non-teachers/non-writers forget about right after they take their SATs (such as appositives, participals, infinitives).

    Any recommendations?
