her frame shows signs of wear
from the long, harsh moments
of life embracing her thoughts
and suffocating her dreams;

she lost her smile in the midst
of success as the road to great
required too high a price from one
who sought love through position;

every move was calculated
every step was predestined
every word was rehearsed
every...mate pre-selected;

and yet during the pre-paration
of her life she didn't leave room
to stumble across one who could
guide her into a brand new realm;

she found herself within my arms
when the day took hold of her last
breath of joy and she fell freely into
the comforting arms of love's embrace;

she sought tranquility in my voice
and comfort within my embrace
hoping to hide behind her strength
but seeking to quietly escape;

i'd brush her hair with my fingers
and gently kiss he brow in places
that hold the stresses of the day
hoping my touch would release her;

i would cover her like the blanket
on the bed and warm her with the
intimate heat of compassion as i
rest her away from today's sorrows;

and i would not let her go until "she"
becomes "her", the one whom can let
go of all that ails hers, all that pains
her to make room for all that loves her;

today, i will comfort...her...

just some thoughts in the evening hour...
