They said that death was shaking in between us
Some bitter-sweet remedy for our...selves
Like holiday elixirs and vitamin B tablets
Death in the midst of life bargaining with itself

Yesterday I was the Summer sun rising
To kiss butterfly lips floating with wind
I heard... no one
While the children lay...lying
Except the sound of death
Shaking us in mid-air

“We are all the prisoners of war”
