Peace and Blessings Family,

There seems to be a push for us to move toward demonic things, the occult, etc.

It's being presented to us as the answer to the ills our people face collectively.

So i'm wanting to know what or where, specifically, are the benefits of this?

Our people are dying daily. Brothers incarcerated at alarming rates. Hunger and Homelessness Abound.

So tell me please ... how will being demonic change our collective condition?

I'm all for anything that will make our collective condition better.

Unfortunately, up until now, i've only seen this "demonic energy" trying to be used to hurt us, threaten us, etc.

I have yet to see any evidence that it can or is being used to free us collectively, from our current condition.

If becoming demonic is the answer to our collective condition, then please, present some evidence supporting that.

Thanks in advance.

Maybe this has nothing to do with being “demonic” (I still really don’t like how that word is being bandied about. I‘m thinking y‘all using it in a negative way) but I believe that if we give up the white man’s religion is a huge step for our people in re-gaining knowledge of self and civilization.

Greetings Sister Destee,

The words "Demon" and "Occult" usually suggest "evil" intent particularly in a Euro-Christian environment. Evil itself is really subjective concept. Consider the analogy of the Fox and the Henhouse. From the point of view of the Hen, the presence of the Fox represents evil because the Hen is in danger of being eaten. From the point of view of the Fox, his presence in the Henhouse is a good thing.

One problem that I'm seeing is that you are looking at the subject of the occult from the wrong perspective which with all due respect is a Euro-Christian perspective. From this perspective of course it is evil. The occult is a threat to the Euro-Christian way of life. This isn't theory. The most successful slave rebellion in the Western Hemisphere was when Haiti used Voudon to defeat the most powerful nations in the world at the time. No Afrikan "tribe" that kept their spiritual traditions have been truly colonized. This dynamic can even be seen in other cultures. Do you know what Thailand, Japan, and Ethiopia have in common? They've never been colonized. Why? They never allowed Euro-Christianity to take hold in their countries. Nations are conquered first through the mind or spirit and THEN physically. That's why the USA lost in Vietnam, they never defeated the people spiritually.

Now why hasn't the "occult" worked for Black people in the United States? Very simple, we run from what WHITES call the "occult". The number of Blacks who truly practice any occult arts in the United States may barely fill a football stadium. The majority of the Black people who are suffering, practice a Euro-Christian culture EVEN if they don't go to church. Most of the TRUE occultists I know personally are doing very well spiritually AND materially. Yet, many Black Christians will call those people, including myself demonic because we practice something they were programmed to fear.

Here's the thing. The occultists can do some things to bring the energy to make things better and many do because what's presented on these boards and in the books mentioned is only the tip of the iceberg. They can only go so far. Everyone has free choice and Blacks are freely choosing a path of powerlessness.

Think on this.

Peace,
Belsidus

Thank you for making the point above which is why I identify with "Ethiopian" more than anything else and why I view some things differently than do others. Another difference is that I can go to church any day and still not label folks who practice Vodun, Akan, Ife, Native as "demonic" is because I know how these have even been "syncretized" into the church itself going back to the Ethiopian Orthodox and Coptic churches which based the Jesus metaphor on the allegories of Heru.
