Here we are in the limb of society
The city streets of bad reality
under a struggle of formalities
where we fight in such poverity
to keep hopes and dreams to our families

Broken glass like slaved mind
doing destruction raising da crime
sour hustlers on da nickle & dime
city of pain at darkness I hear crying
labled from birth thy tongues of lying
why are we still dying

Killing souls of self creed
for a lable and some deed
when it's not to feed
but to da city another bleed
destroying our future seed

I can hear thy Mother's weep
from broken homes getting deep
Father's at lost of sleep
from there self mentally weak
fighting against one another
instead of lovin thy black brother

Children at play wit no care in da world
on da city street (Bang) lay a little girl
city denounce death from da Barrel
becoming da new age Hitler terror
holding pitty and then hate
on da crossroads that's narror & streight

People of Blackness
yet not in Awareness
displaying hurtful madness
will it end or will it be foreverness
O' how my heart limp in sadness
from da destructional cities of no love

We so broken and divided
movin in different direction
wit no moral affection
yet we claim feel no shame
then we turn point and blame
beyond the truth and reality of will
shoot , rob , rape and kill
this what many black now feel
We can't even begin to heal
is it that our fate been seal
or was it by design of the devil's deal

O' my my my how i cry
at da well of by and bye
unity to united is no labor law
yet we turn run and beyond what's raw
on da lines making wrong call
that's driving da sane up da wall

City streets of death wish
passing off on a daily dish
taken us well under
into an eternal deep a....slumber
I still have this rumble in my mind
how our people truely dying
casting off destructional hate
where's da street love for humankind to make
living upon da weak and da fake
is this our only fate

Why we can't support our own
yet we sing this unity song
and then we dis another so wrong
was it just the image of a clone
City now heavy stone
I'm tired , tired to da bone
time we rise and get alone
agree to disagree wit a friendly tone
let da stain dry and go home

We didn't make da rules
yet we use it as a tool
and continue to be this bubblin fool
forgetting to really school
the youth of minds in this age time
so they may rise and shine
and don't leave a soul behind
think then speak ever so kind
our women , sisters , queenz
wake up do the right things
feed thy children raise them right
so they may see another night
from da city of our flyte
stop the degrading of self
don't let another put u on da shelf
of lost never found
being da misfit of the town
but be the voice the power of sound
but keep thy KING da man around

I can't express more then now
for us as a people to bridge the gap
hit back powerful not some tap
time we open up and free our minds
from the structure that was design
we no longer blind
to what's happening to our kind
they know we on a mission
but we still confused and twisted
time we stop pullin apart
link da chain of lovin hearts
time we stop fooling ourselves
take heed to the many graves
where our now people lays
City now under da blade
of a double edge sword & fleet
feel me people feel my beat
talking bout da roll of city street

Oneday / somehow / someway / somewhere
we gonna change mentally / spiritrually / morally
as a whole, a people and bond in brother & sister hood
as one and keep our dollars within da circle of us
we gonna make our voices sing in harmony
we gonna rise to the hopes & dreams of past centuries
we gonna apply our guns for safty of thy families
we gonna move our hate and anger in a direction
against our oppressors against this poverty at our struggle
we gonna come with common solutions , work out simple
confusion we will apply our knowledge to feed wisdom
to the brains this will be my living aim.

if we not strive to fight flesh to flesh
one brother
one sistah
laying dead
over the dumb ish
instead of protecting the nest

another life
another soul
innocently
young
violently unfold

"sometimes I feel like a motherless child"
is the cry i hear of mothers weaping eyes
on this street corner to count how many witnessed deaths
and to the other street corner, wondering if you make it to see 21 or lay in cold blood in your own premature death

the prayers of a mother
seeing many sleepless nights
not knowing weather your seed will return
the one you loved
the one you clothed
the one you fed
the one who's dreams you bred

another homey blown in the head
like moths to a flame
the flame enlarges its dread

the midnight once it covered the darkness
now in broad day light
it's boldly
stealing lives with sharpness

self-hatred
we defeat our own success
we defeat our own strength
we defeat our own possibilities
we defeat our own depth
instead we should be mentoring one another...
it takes a village to raise a child
we should be protecting the life of a youth
but life is unvalued
and degraded
life is an exstinction
life is depraved
the soul and heart increasingly wicked
who can know it?
who can know it?
who can know it?

this is the hearts cry of the poet
this is the hearts cry of the writer

where is the love?
that people need
for with love
you can be free.

thanks for this rich, felt this one.

Desert Storm

Rich, oh my goodness, how this touched me. And Desert Storm, I loved your flow in response. Rich, you covered so much...how we claim unity but don't embrace it, how hating each other wasn't our idea but we keep it going, how we should have been fed up with this mess a long time ago. I'd love to hear you read this one. I tried to give you rep points, but I have to spread some more love around first. Highest of props brotha!!!

yes yes yes !!!!.............say it say it say it !!! DS i can relate
Time we take back our minds and control our destiny our children
our families and love ones our brothers and sisters on these wicked
city streets ...May tomorrow bring us another step closer mindful to
embrace our hopes and free will in life that was design to keep us as
people in a slavery mental and destructional maze of madness against
our own .

Thank u ever so dearly for feeling me deeply .
