At a lodging place on the way, the Lord met him and sought to kill him. Then Zipporah [his wife] took a flint and cut off her son's foreskin, and touched Moses' feet with it and said, "Surely you are a bridegroom to me." So he let him alone. Then it was that she said, "You are a bridegroom of blood, because of the circumcision."

There is a question of pronouns here. Some say that Moses must have been already circumcised and all the pronouns refer to his son, making even "Moses' feet" "his" (the son's). Others say that Yahweh was trying to kill Moses because he had still not attended to his own circumcision. That is, lacking a proper scientific hypothesis, they make of Yahweh's action something arbitrary.
The Editors of the Oxford Bible become avant-garde and write in a footnote: "Feet, a euphemism for the sexual organs (Is. 7: 20)." Isaiah does support this interpretation, speaking there of a razor shaving the head and "the hair of the feet." I would agree with this view.

In Egypt some Obelisk were called the Ben Ben stone. Its hiergyphic symbol was two feet and a pyramid. It has links with Osiris. The Obelisk was the symbolic penis of Osiris. The Ben Ben stone was also an altar to which victims were sacrificed like Moses almost became a victim of see Cleopatra’s Needles: And other Egyptian Obelisks By E.A. Wallis Budge pp.9-11.

Philo Judaeus wrote of his intellectual precocity . A composite portrait can be drawn from the Pagan writers of Greece and Rome Moses was an Egyptian who invented sun dials for solar worship in place of obelisks. Moses no longer would use Obelisk or let his fellow Egyptians represent him as Osiris (Golden Calf) either. Why? Because he switched from Amen to Aton.

    PEACE AACOOLDRE:

Just wanted to comment on this from the Kemetic perspective:

I have never heard of this in Kemetic tradition, which is extremely important, since this exerpt proports that Moses was Kemetic by heritage.

There are are specific terms for the genitalia in Kemet, and "feet" is never one of them.

The SMA-TUI is the symbolism for the female aspect (often referred to as "THE FLOWER"), and the OBELISK for the male, as is mentioned below.

    Speaking of which:

This is not correct. The correct term for the Obelisk is "TEKENU": "that which rises".

The name BENU-BENU is directly correlated to the PYRAMIDS.

"Pyramid" itself is a Greek term, like much of the terminology that has been used to define ancient Kemet.

There has never been any evidence of sacrifice of bodies at any Obelisk, as the Priests of Amen utilized them as pylons to surround various other monoliths.

For that matter, I would be even slightly weary of much of what BUDGE wrote, sicne in one of his writings, he accuses the Kemetians of being "Half-Negro Savages".

Such a biased perspective is hardly a thoroughly academic and/or intellectual one.

Historically, none of the Cleopatra's erected any obelisks (the core of Kemetic society had all but diminished, by the time the Macedonians invaded the land), so to associate her(s) name with the Obelisks is a false hood.

This is the biggest lie ever told.

Moses of the Bible supposedly came around during the RAMASSUSEN dynasty, which is the 19th dynasty.

Sun dials were in existence ever since the 1st dynasty, and perhaps long before even that (sun dials are mentioned in the Pert Em Heru).

This is just another attempt to shoe-horn so-called Biblical "history" in with actual Kemetic history.

For that matter, sun dials were NEVER used for "worship". They were a temporal mechanism, simply used for telling time, and nothing more.

For that matter, Sun dials predated Obelisks in terms fo their creation, so this assertion that "Moses" created the former to replace the latter is false.

I touched on the personification of Ausar in another thread, but to summate:

All people were potentially seen as Ausar. Asuar was a spiritual concept that all human beings aspired to.

And Ausar was NOT represented by the Calf either; that was HET-HERU (HATHOR), and this symbol was only used twice a year, during 2 Kemetic harvest festivals.

Further, ATON/ATEN is the SUN in KEMETIC, so the only "switch" Moses commited is that of the Unseen Divine Force, to worship of the Sun.

Therefore, if JEHOVAH is akin to ATON, then the God of the Bible is nothing but the SUN as well, and therefore all Bible followers are nothing but Sun worshippers.

Why would Moses forsake "Amen", yet include that name in every prayer in the Hebrew lore? "Amen" is not linguistically indigenous to Hebrew; it's a borrowed term from the Kemetic. If the Premise of Amen was abandoned, why not then abandon the name altogether?

AACOOLDRE, I'm not certain if you are the author of this info, or if you transposed it from somewhere else, but if you are not, then the original author goes to great lengths to "Biblify" Kemet with his insubstantial assertions.

    PEACE

Moses didn't write the Bible. Is there any evidence outside of the bible that Moses said Amen after a prayer or anything else? Your right this isn't my writing but research I pulled together for discusion. I'm glad someone responed like you so we can get at answers.

The pyramid was symbolic of sunrise or resurrection. All obelisk/tekhen have a pyramid on top of it.

An Obelisk (Tekhen) was sybolic of Osiris (Ausar) and another Obelisk called a Ben Ben Stone was regarded as the incarnation of the soul of ra and the heart of Osiris.

According to Gary Greenberg's "The Bible myth:The African origins of the Jewish people" .When Satan (Set) scattered Osiris body parts around the country, Isis recovered all but the penis that Osiris was less than whole. Through magic, Isis created a substitute.Circumcision was developed in which a piece of the penis was cut off to symbolize Osiris lost penis pp.246-247. It was only after abramham attached ham (sun/Egypt) to his name that circumcision now becomes a sign of the covenant. Keeping the covenant was keeping the Ten commandments which all came from the 42 admonitions of Maat/Amen. 9 of the ten came from Egypt with the exclusion of the sabath. But Jesus did accuse Jews of circumcision on the Sabbath.

The Sabbath is worshiped for two reasons honor god's creation of the world in 6 days (6 is a symbolic number of magic). The second Sabbath to celebrate the Jews leaving Egypt.

The Penis/Obelisk were symbols representing resurrection (re-creation of life) of Osiris. The same as sabbath creation of life in 6 days. I just find it a coincidence that Jews would circumcise on the Sabbath which Jesus brought up in the New Testament.

The Romans at the suggestion of seneca later quoted by St Augustine in his city of god wanted jews to stop lighting of candles on sabbaths-see The true authorship of the New Testament By Abelard Reuchlin p.1. Candles are symbolic of Obelisks when they are associated with birthdays (life/creation).

Jesus had said "No man when he hath lighted a candle putteth it in a secret place...the light of the body is the eye therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body is full of light"Luke 11:33 The right eye/sun of Horus had an amulet of good fortune called "utchat" which meant whole or sound of mind and body. Now recall Isis substitute of Osiris penis was an Obelisk/candle to indicate Osiris body was less than whole made whole.

    Thanks for the post

    Ancient Egyptian Circumcision
& Modern Day Practices in Males

"Little is known about the daily life of the Ancient Egyptians, but proof of circumcision abounds in temple reliefs. Early Egyptologists assumed that all Egyptian males were circumcised, but more recently both circumcised and uncircumcised penises have been found on the unwrapped mummies of pharaohs. Modern Egyptologists have pondered about just whom among the Egyptians were circumcised and why. An early Masonic historian, Godfrey Higgins ("Anacalypsis", London 1836), writes, "Priests only of the Egyptians were circumcised." Candidates for priesthood, and for circumcision, were usually chosen from among puberty-age, virgin boys. Quoting modern Masonic historian, Manly P. Hall ("Freemasonry of the Ancient Egyptians", Los Angeles 1936), "In ancient Egypt learning was regarded as a high privilege and education was under the direction of a small number of individuals who were organized into bonds, pledges and vows of secrecy....(a candidate) having applied at Heliopolis, was referred to the Learned of the Institution at Memphis, and these sent him to Thebes (where) he was circumcised."

Some historians have contended that the priests of Egypt were circumcised as a sacrifice, a forsaking of "sinful pleasures". However, the concept of sex as sin is not known to have been a part of the Egyptian religion. What is known is that the circumcised penis was a symbol of fertility, as can be seen in temple reliefs throughout Egypt. According to Egyptologist, E. A. Budge ('The Gods of the Egyptians'. Dover Publications), there was a very early God of Circumcision whose job was to maintain the fertility of the Nile banks. Another early Egyptian myth contended that God circumcised himself and the blood from his penis fell and created the universe. This myth is thought by some to be the progenitor of the blood cults, in which animals were sacrificed and the blood covenants in the modern Semitic religions. Another theory, quite unorthodox, holds that the Great Pyramid (Cheops) was not a tomb at all (it contained no artifacts, no mummies, etc.) but was a temple of initiation. The young initiates to the priesthood were, supposedly, led single file through the narrow passages receiving one initiatory degree after another and, reaching what is now called the "Queen's Chamber", they were circumcised and then proceeded up the Grand Gallery towards the "King's Chamber" and their final degree. The circumcised priests were the guardians of immortality; symbols of fertility and life everlasting.

Another interesting night on A&E. Tonight we visited the great temple at Karnak which was built to honor the God, Ahmen, creator of the universe. It is said that he found himself alone in the universe, so he masturbated himself and out spewed mankind. This was covered in detail as were the daily rituals in which the statue of the God was masturbated by the wife of God. Hand and female are apparently synonymous in Egyptian because of this.

Another God masturbated himself with his mouth (shown on many temple walls) and the creator God, Ahmen, masturbated himself into his mothers mouth each night (representing nightfall) and then was re-born of his own making each morning (sunrise).

Masturbation, pederism, public sex, complete body shaving, and ritual circumcision were derigger for the Egyptians of the day.

The first evidence of more sophisticated surgical instruments comes from Egypt, regarded by the later Greeks and Romans as the cradle of medicine. By the time of the pyramid builders (around 2600 BC), the Egyptians were making copper surgical blades sharp enough for simple operations, such as circumcision. Ancient Egyptian men were normally circumcised sometime during later childhood; this custom being prevalent in Africa, seems to have spread to the Jews, Arabs, and other Near Eastern people from the skilled and talented Egyptians. More elaborate circumcision rituals were performed on the holy men and royalty, as well as forced upon many slaves taken from conquered nations.

Their religion lasted longer than Christianity has even been in existence thus far. Of course, eventually Egypt was overthrown and the Christians launched a bloody holy war to stamp out the pagan worshipers. The thought all of this sex/kink, and the worship of such was very bad in the Christians eyes. The Egyptians had no guilt for such things.

There is (in present day) an Egyptian pagan group called the Merrtiu-n-Amen who circumcise all uncircumcised male members. The penises of circumcised men are pricked during their initiation rites and the blood offered to Thesbu, the Egyptian god of circumcision, who despises foreskins."..."
