CIA Director David Petraeus affair sex scandal widens to include General John Allen and more

“The FBI probe into the sex scandal that prompted CIA Director David Petraeus to resign has expanded to ensnare Gen. John R. Allen, the commander of U.S. and NATO troops in Afghanistan, the Pentagon announced early Tuesday. According to a senior U.S. defense official, the FBI has uncovered between 20,000 and 30,000 pages of documents — most of them e-mails — that contain “potentially inappropriate” communication between Allen and Jill Kelley, the 37-year-old Tampa woman whose report of harassment by a person who turned out to be Petraeus’s mistress ultimately led to Petraeus’s downfall.”

It most likely is due to The Uniform Code of Military Justice--the foundation by which personnel are to operate, and this behavior is definitely covered under bad conduct discharge.

It seems that it is more than an adulterous relationship. Some news stories are connecting the whole thing to Benghazi where the US Ambassador was killed. Only time will tell whether there is a connection between the Benghazi episode.

I believe that people don't ever learn from history so they will continue to make the same mistakes. Women have used sex from time immemorial to get what the want. Delilah in the bible. It seems that men regardless of where they work or how top secret their work is cannot resist the female body. This episode is a sad one, since her husband will be reading everything. Throughout history women have been used by espionage agencies they have been given the name "honeypot". The name says it all. I believe the woman used the opportunity to gain access to the General for her personal reasons. I am not sure if we will ever know the REAL story since the information will be classified. If there is another dimension to this story I doubt we will really know the truth. I am wondering if it is just coincidence that this news broke just about a day after the election.. The sad thing in all of this is that his wife has to endure this and so many thousands world wide will read about this affair. It shows how many wives whose husbands are in the military have to endure long periods of loneliness when their spouses are away on duty. I personally believe that there is more to the story than we are being told.

White men aren't the only ones that cheat on their wives, if that's the immorality you're speaking of.

I find it hard to believe that this is about a man cheating on his wife in the military ... i mean ... surely, he's not the first or the highest ranking to do such a thing ... it just seems there's more to this than meets the eye ... but i could be wrong.

If all men in the military had to resign for cheating, there would probably be few left enlisted.

I agree ... we may never know ... but it does look like a smokescreen ... hiding something bigger.

Yes, there is waaaayyyy more to the story to make a cia director step down. Especially, the way they can come to a community meeting in California and lie to everyone there about their non-involvement in bringing crack cocaine into the inner cities....:script:

They lie and get away with their involvement in these uprisings around the globe, like the one in Lybia where they set up Q'addafi.

THey also make movies about these types of happenings all the time. You can't make this type of stuff up with such great detail.

    and so many more......

I mean, we all should know by now how some of their own young females are treated and abused, so a cheating director or general is obviously not what's causing this wave. It's more than likely that they got burned by an asset with very damaging information about some op's, past or future that were supposed to remain under wraps...

Maybe they got drunk one day and shared e mails about the Bin Laden cover up and how there was no seal team 6...:tv2:

The former CIA director is, of course, YT. Yet I am full aware that 'people of colour' are true copycats to every action of YT people -- and have been since our enforced slavery here on 'Turtle's Island!

Basic Rules for Being A Side Chick | Clutch Magazine

[IMG]I’ve published this with a bit of trepidation. Years ago, a fellow writer-friend wrote a similarly titled post about how to be a good jump off and hell fire and damnation rained upon him from across the Internet. To be clear: in no way am I suggesting that a side-chick is a role to strive for (nor is being the “main chick”, the implication being that there’s you and others). I am, however, suggesting if that Girlfriend Number Two is the role you have settled upon, then you must stay in the lane you chose or leave the “relationship”.
It seems like everyone and their mama is talking about former CIA head David Petraeus, who resigned on Friday due to an extra-marital affair. It was on the front page of most newspapers and their accompanying sites, and every commentator has been ready with talking points, which can be loosely summarized as “what the hell was he thinking? Petraeus was the head of the Central Intelligence Agency and some baffling way how thought he could send letters to his mistress and they would go undiscovered.

The affair – with married biographer Paula Broadwell —would have likely gone undetected a wee bit longer, if Broadwell hadn’t sent anonymous and threatening emails to Jill Kelley (also married), a woman she believed was romantically involved with Petraeus. (Kelley denies she any romantic involvement.) Kelley reported the harassing emails to the FBI, they traced them back to Broadwell and in the process discovered her affair with Petraeus. Womp, womp.
Broadwell’s actions make it clear that some side chicks are confused about their role in relationships (or, er,
not. Ebony.com recently ran a story about a mistress of 15 years who was uncomfortably cool in her lane.) In the spirit of helping all the “other women” out there, I offer the following suggestions:
Do Expect Him to Cheat With Other Women
I know he’s told you his “situation” is “complicated” and maybe he’s even said “I love you.” If he really did, you would have already been Number 1. It’s all lies (which for the men reading, ya’ll have to stop doing. Filling women’s heads with fantasies, even if she should know better, is how you get the windows busted out your car). Maybe you two really do have some sort of bond. Fine. It’s still completely unreasonable to expect someone who is demonstrating a penchant for infidelity by being with you, to be faithful—sort of because he’s still having sex with the woman he’s claiming—to you.
    Do Use Condoms
Don’t be in denial. He’s not just having sex with you. At minimum, it’s you and the woman he’s still claiming. Your situation is bad enough. There’s no sense in bringing a kid into it (and that’s also no guarantee he’ll leave his woman or that she’ll leave him) or contracting and sexually transmitted infection.
