“The FBI probe into the sex scandal that prompted CIA Director David Petraeus to resign has expanded to ensnare Gen. John R. Allen, the commander of U.S. and NATO troops in Afghanistan, the Pentagon announced early Tuesday. It seems that it is more than an adulterous relationship. Some news stories are connecting the whole thing to Benghazi where the US Ambassador was killed. Only time will tell whether there is a connection between the Benghazi episode.

I believe that people don't ever learn from history so they will continue to make the same mistakes. Women have used sex from time immemorial to get what the want. Delilah in the bible. It seems that men regardless of where they work or how top secret their work is cannot resist the female body. This episode is a sad one, since her husband will be reading everything. Throughout history women have been used by espionage agencies they have been given the name "honeypot". The name says it all. I believe the woman used the opportunity to gain access to the General for her personal reasons. I am not sure if we will ever know the REAL story since the information will be classified. If there is another dimension to this story I doubt we will really know the truth. I am wondering if it is just coincidence that this news broke just about a day after the election.. The sad thing in all of this is that his wife has to endure this and so many thousands world wide will read about this affair. It shows how many wives whose husbands are in the military have to endure long periods of loneliness when their spouses are away on duty. I personally believe that there is more to the story than we are being told.
