A lot of chinese food has a very high glycemic index so now when I go chinese I usually order veggies with garlic sauce and avoid most fried foods. All of the typical veggies in the chinese diet are beneficial and if you have to use any sauce, soy is one of the best sources of protein. Avoid the salt and MSG.

MSG is the real killer so....none of that sweet and sour stuff...

While I have not digested soy products/sauce in a while, I will circumvent the reason(s) and say that MSG and Salt are True, True killers.

Chinese folk tend to also incorporate Peanuts into their Meals. The tough thing about this is, MSG has been found to be in many Peanuts! There are some People in the Food Industry who leave Nuts sitting around for a long time, and they are still served. It is very easy to fool consumers into thinking that Nuts served in this way are NOT bad for the Body.

Hopefully, Chinese Restaurants have nothing to do with this...

    LOL!

I wish I can say that the Soy nuts are fine, but I am led to think that it would depend on who is serving them.

At the Fresh Market where I [used to] shop, they served and stocked Soy nuts the same way they did with all of the other Nuts. I am not too worried about the Pecans; My People can serve them better across town.

...You know I was saying that same EXACT thing as I was logging on to the PC...(All Foods are NOT for All People)

Just the very thought of a Beautiful, Black Melaninated Afrikan eating Chinese Cuisine is starting to make me puke! So much so, that it keeps me away from well near ALL Asian Run-and-Operated Establishments.

I feel that the Natural, Whole Food(s) Diet is the best solution, along with a Great Sankofa Experience.

That what a CHINESE AMERICAN mentioned to me. He said the CHINESE FOOD in AMERICA is called AMERICAN FOOD to HIM and his ASSOCIATES. Filled with the GREASE and SALT the way AMERICANS like it.

If you LIMIT your SALT intake and GET USED to IT then TAKE A BITE of CHINESE FOOD here in AMERICA you would think that someone was IN-SALT-ING YOU.

    :)
