    I woke up this morning
    Thinking who should I be
    I'm a little mixed kid
    I don't have a nationality
I think I'll be white because
    Everybody will like me
    They won't laugh and Try
To hurt or hit on me
    The white kids treat the
    Black kids so very bad
    They call them names like
    ******.***** monkey
    And nappy head
    Names like that
    The Teachers don't even
    Give the black kids respect
    It hurts my heart when
They treat the Black kids that way
They don't mess with me you see
    My skin is light
    My hair is silky long
    and my eyes are light
So they think I am white
Sometimes my skin color confuses me
    Because I can choose
    Who I want to be
Sometimes I want to be Black
But the black kids start teasing me
They say you are not black
You are just a wanna be
    A wanna be
    What does that mean
    You want to be white
    In their world you see
    You are not down
    With the black kids
    In this school...Please!!!!!
You are so wrong about me
    My mother is white
    and my father is black
I was taught to love everybody
    Skin color didn't mean
    A thing to me
    Until one day People
    And kids started treating
    Me so differently
That is why I 'm so confused
    I don't know who I want to
    be

    It must be difficult but...

you can embrace both ethnicities. You shouldn't have to choose between one or the other...you are human first. Remember that!

    Keep the faith baby!!!!
