We are so resistant to it
Even when it's for the good
and we should be chomping at the bit
    Looking for sameness
    The ease of what's known
relishing the same old same old
an addiction that won't leave us alone
    Those old comfortable shoes
ain't no more good with the sole gone
Like trying to use an old chess set
without the rook or the pawn
Still layin with your man, cause he sexes
ya good, but whops ya *** bad
Lovin the freak in that woman, cept when
she's freakin your friends too, now that's sad
Clinging to the same like your weaning
    yourself off some drug, detoxification
    takes some concentration
and a whole lot of determination
to deal with the endless frustration
    of not wanting to alter
    afraid we may falter
    but in this instance
    tis futile, this resistance
    time to meet and greet
    make amends
    become friends
    face to face
    thoroughly embrace...

    this poems tyte.

Change in concept is so simple, but in action...the hardest thing for a collective group to do. It is the hope for change, that keeps me going

    Loved this one :)
    keep the flow goin...

Deepy I appreciate how you went into the complexities of the poem. Thank you so much sis.

Change, especially as a group is quite difficult, yes Prizefighter16. Thank you for responding so.

Change in all it's glory and INEVITABILITY...
can sometimes be a lot like castor oil...u know
and in other cases...it's like receiving roses...

Either way...it's needed and sometimes wanted
    One must always remain flexible
    because no matter what...it's coming
    and if you're not ready...

It will take you by storm...

My final response to this peace is an "overwhelming Whoa"

    Sage

More words to make me smile. Yes, change takes place whether we are ready or not, better that we be prepared. Thank you sista sage.

Lawd! Sis, this is crazy crazy tight. But more importantly, you're preachin to the choir with this one. Been gearing for a big big change for a while now, and finally ret to do it. Not to say that I don't have my terrifying moments here and there, still. It's ironic cause "security" seem so safe, when sometimes it's only masquerading as a spiritual death trap for the soul.

    Much love, watz. :hearts2:

First of all, thank you gempis, I didn't notice you at first, seems we posted at the same time. I am so feelin your response. Yes it can be so frightening, but even more scary is staying in a bad situation, just because that's what we're used to. Such food for thought.
