As I began to type out this piece, I thought--no big surprise here. And then I read on further:

"...Of the notorious ant-Jewish curse in Matthew 27:25, "His blood be on us and on our children", a passage used to justify centuries of anti-Semitism, the bishops say these and other words must never be used again as a pretext to treat Jewish people with contempt..."

Certainly the "Jewish Holocaust" was terrible, however; the [curse of Ham/Kam] that was craftily used to justify the insurge of "The Black Holocaust" [is] -- by far -- the most devastating example of mankind's inhumanity against mankind.

The article is dated 11/05; which was approximately 9-1/2 months ago. To date I have not heard one chicken/pork chop -- eating Black minister speak out in protest!

    I wonder why?

Catholic Church no longer swears by truth of the bible
    Ruth Gledhill
    Religion Correspondent

The hierarchy of the Roman Catholic Church has published a teaching document instructing the faithful that some parts of the Bible are not actually true.

The Catholic bishops of England, Wales and and Scotland are warning their five million worshipers, as well as any others drawn to the study of scripture, that they should not expect "total accuracy" from the Bible.

"We should not expect to find in Scripture full scientific accuracy or complete historical precision." they say in The Gift of Scripture.

The document is timely, coming as it does amid the rise of the religious Right, in particular in the US.

Some Christians want a literal interpretation of the story of creation, as told in Genesis, taught alongside Darwin's theory of evolution in schools, believing "intelligent design" to be an equally plausible theory of how the world began.

But the first 11 Chapters of Genesis, in which two different and at times conflicting stories of creation are told, are among those that this country's Catholic bishops insist cannot be 'historical'. At most, they say, they may contain 'historical traces'.

The document shows how far the Catholic Church has come since the 17th century, when Galileo was condemned as a heretic for flouting a near-universal belief in the divine inspiration of the Bible by advocating the Copernican view of the solar system. Only a century ago, Pope X condemned Modernist Catholic scholars who adapted historical-critical methods of analyzing ancient literature to the Bible.

In the document, the bishops acknowledge their debt to biblical scholars. They say the Bible must be approached in the knowledge that it is "GOD's word expressed in human language" and that proper acknowledgment should be given both to the word of God and its human dimensions.

They say the Church must offer the gospel in ways "appropriate to changing times. intelligible and attractive to our contemporaries".

The Bible is true in passages relating to human salivating, they say, but continue. "We should not expect total accuracy from the Bible in other, secular matters."

They go on to condemn fundamentalism for its "intransigent intolerance" and to warn of "significant dangers" involved in a fundamentalist approach.

"Such an approach is dangerous, for example, when people of one nation or group see in the Bible a mandate for their own superiority, and even consider themselves permitted by the Bible to use violence against others."

Of the notorious ant-Jewish curse in Matthew 27:25, "His blood be on us and on our children", a passage used to justify centuries of anti-Semitism, the bishops say these and other words must never be used again as a pretext to treat Jewish people with contempt. Describing this passage as an example of dramatic exaggeration, the bishops say they have had 'tragic' consequences" in encouraging hatred and persecution. "The attitudes and language of first-century quarrels between Jews and Jewish Christians should never again be emulated in relations between Jews and Christians."

As examples of passages not to be taken literally, the bishops cite the early Chapters of Genesis, comparing them with early creation legends from other cultures, especially from the ancient East. The bishops say it is clear that the primary purpose of these chapters was to provide religious teaching and that they could not be described as historical writing,

Similarly, they refute the apocalyptic prophecies of Revelation, the last book of the Christian Bible, in which the writer describes the work of the risen Jesus, the death of the Beast and the wedding feast of Christ the Lamb.

The bishops say: "Such symbolic language must be respected for what it is, and not to be interpreted literally. We should not expect to discover in this book details about the end of the world, about how many will be saved and about when the end will come.

In their foreword to the teaching document, the two most senior Catholics of the land, Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor, Archbishop of Westminster, and Cardinal Keith O'Brien, Archbishop of St. Andrew's and Edinburgh, explain its context.

They say people today are searching for what is worthwhile, what has real value, what can be trusted an what is really true.

The new teaching has been issued as part of the 40th anniversary celebrations of Dei Verbum, the Second Vatican Council document explaining the place in Scripture in revelation. In the past 40 years, Catholics have learnt more than ever before to cherish the Bible. "We have rediscovered the Bible as a precious treasure, both ancient and ever new."

A Christian charity is sending a film about the Christmas story to every primary school in Britain after hearing of a young boy who asked his teacher why Mary and Joseph named their baby after a swear word. The Breakout Trust raised L200,000 to make the 30-minute animated film, It's a Boy. Steven Legg, head of the charity, said: "There are over 12 million children in the UK and only 756, 000 of them go to church regularly.

That leaves a staggering number who are probably not receiving basic Christian teaching."

    Genesis 2:21-22
So the Lord GOD caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept he took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh, and the rib which the LORD GOD had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man.

    Genesis 3:16
GOD said to the woman [after she was beguiled by the serpent]: "I will greatly multiply your pain in childbearing; in pain you shall bring forth children, yet your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you."

Because the truth is now exposed and a "Lie" can no longer Stand*

    Hotep

The main reason the "Catholic Church no longer swears by the Bible" that they made up is because they know they are absolute liers and that the Bible can no longer stand up to the "Truth" that is now being exposed all over the planet. The only reason that it stoud up in the first place is because the "ROMAN" government headed by the "Ceaser" (Justinian) who later changed the government name to Catholisim and his name from Ceaser to "POPE"...forced, tourtured, terrorised, killed and cruched every one they came in contact with to except the "Lie" they were teaching about the Jesus Christ creature who was named "Serapis"...the first "Potolomy" imposter king after "Alexander the Barbaren" or "Greek-Thief" stole (KEMET) of Egypt from the so-called Africans. They know that the only way that they can save this lie is to do all over agin what their Greek, Roman and Byzantem indo-europen ancestors did to establish the "Big-Lie" in the first place...and that is to go to "War"!!! Isn't it strange to any one who thinks...that the only place of any referance what ever about a man who walk on "Water, changed water into Wine...woke up Dead people, made the Blind person see and asended in to heaven with others watching"...have no mention by the "Historians" of that time in history...not one word any ware in any country of the earth about someone who could do all the these great, worderful, meraculus, astounding, mind blowing things!!!??? There is no statue or monument any ware on earth for a man who is said to have such power...except in the "Bible" that came form "Europe" and the other books that support it. The only place any one can finde the mention of even his name is in the Bible that the Church wrote, made up, controls, publishes, distributes, otherizes and promotes to give the system of white superimacy its "FOUNDATION". The know that the book they forced on the world is a "Lie" and that they "Catholics" are the origenal authors and not G-d or Jesus Christ. http://www.patriarchate.org/ecumenical_patriarchate/chapter_4/html/hagia_sophia.html
The question is ask right here...do you really think that europeans have the answer to your spirituality balck man and black woman...African!?? Do you think that just because you , your children, your grand parents, your great, great, great grand parents believed in the white Jesus Christ....that is going to make a "Lie" the "Truth"!?? No...a lie can never be the truth no matter how meny generations have gone by or how devoted one is to it...a lie is a lie is a lie no matter what...and that is what the big mystery and answer to the question that Malchom X ask so meny years ago..."How can so few control so meny"? You are only being control and lead like "Sheep"...who are following a shepord any ware he wants to go...even to the slauter! Join the Armey and be all you can be...is what they tell you... and then send your ignorant self to north Africa to fight your own people because you don't know your self or who your enemy is because you have been tought to "Worship" your enemy through the "Sanctified-Racist" images of divine in the False person of Jesus Christ...who by the way looks just like willie lynch or the white (slave masters) boss with the whip!!! http://www.touregypt.net/featurestories/serapis.htm
If you don't read, study, rescerch and meditate on what is and what is not you will always be a Slave, Fool, ignorant, hoodwinked and bamboozeled into thingking that you are one the right path by the same white europians who inslaved your parent, great, great, great, great grand parents and now you...through the use and indocrination of false, concocted religions they gave you through the book they made up.........Wake Up! Do your own reserch into what is said and return to the (Spirituality you were born in) living and not the (Religious) Spirituly Dead. Read history, study history wake up and know what "Trick" we have been wasting our lives on for soo meny years. Read , Read, Read* http://www.frcreations.it/fabgallery/pictures/italy/Pozzuoli/Serapis/Serapis.htm

    Ase`

    http://www.nbufront.org/html/MastersMuseums/DocBen/BibleChrono.html

Note: when we wake up...we will learn through reading that the europen fabricators and followers of "Serapis" who was later named "Jesus Christ" were calling them self Christians and follwers of Christ under "Serapis"...before they made up the name Jesus Christ during the Councel of Niciea 325. Serapis is none other than the Greek or Potolamy Thief who took charge of Egypt after the death of Alexander the Greek. There is no truth in this Creature called Jesus Christ who never existed at all but was only "Fabricated" into existance by a councel meeting of Europians in the year 325 at Niciea in europe.

Gift of Scripture—It’s an Issue of Authority

The Gift of Scripture—It’s an Issue of Authority
by Dr. A.J. Monty White and Paul Taylor

    October 7, 2005
    October 7, 2005
....An article inThe Timesof London by Ruth Gledhill about this study book2is accompanied on the newspaper’s website by a discussion. One posting, by an atheist, is particularly telling. Referring to theGift of Scripture’s repudiation of biblical literalism and creationism, the atheist says: “Having been obliged at last to make these concessions, I wonder how much longer it will take for the virgin birth, the divinity of Christ and the resurrection also to be conceded as ‘symbolic’.”
Atheists even understand that the issue is one of authority. The issue is that the Bible is the inerrant, infallible and authoritative word of God. It is through the Bible that we should interpret our view of the world, rather than interpreting the Bible by our view of the world.
It is in that light that in this study guide, the Catholic bishops state: “We should not expect to find in Scripture full scientific accuracy or complete historical precision.” Why not? The atheist quoted above understands that a belief in Scripture should lead us to believe in such accuracy. It is precisely for this reason that such atheists delight in pointing out supposed scriptural inaccuracies to us. However, it is when we start from the submission of our worldview to God’s Word that such “inaccuracies” disappear.
For example, Ruth Gledhill reports that “the first 11 chapters of Genesis, in which two different and at times conflicting stories of creation are told, are among those that this country’s Catholic bishops insist cannot be ‘historical’.” Yet this quote contains its own internal refutation. Starting from a belief that Genesis chapters one and two are true (as is the rest of the Bible), we find that the supposed “contradictory” creation accounts of these chapters are actually different angles on the same account, and are not in conflict at all. 3,4
Moreover, it is noteworthy that Jesus quotes from both chapters to make just the one argument (Mark 10:6-9), showing that Jesus believed both Genesis chapters one and two to be true and not in conflict with each other. Perhaps the Catholic bishops of England, Wales and Scotland elevate their own authority above that of Jesus.
