    I carry words slung heavy
    And thoughts which hurt hard
Under armor I simply can’t shed
Although the weight is a burden
    I don’t stand still worryin’
Can’t look backwards and still move ahead
    Seeing hope on the horizon
    my soul feels enlivened
it’s only a matter of time
I can’t be held down forever
in these tight chains and this leather
without something more than a warning
that this time that I’m serving
has nearly come to an end.
