recently some tech companies modified their software in order to aid the Chinese gument in repressing her own citizens. dissidents were jailed as a result.
these are large and successful corporations like google and microsoft. they didn't need the money.
amoral? immoral? it is this absence of a moral foundation that is at the heart of capitalism's failure.
when your God is mammon.........you just another ho.

Good topic and opinion. I think we've seen this happen throughout American history, particularly during wartime when American businesses sell weapons to countries at war. Businesses engaging in free enterprise to make a dollar when the goods they sell destroy nations is nothing new. Even worse are those of us who own stock in these corporations and never question the company's ethical or moral stances when we look at their prospectus'. At the end of the day, like the true capitalist that most of us are, isn't the bottom line for us how much money we're going to make on our investment? Do we know or would we even care whether the money we invest for ourselves may actually be used to continue oppressing people in the Black community or even Continental Africa especially if the return is high? If they will do it for China, why not America and Africa?
