They spoke so I could
In voices loud and clear
They said we want to be free
for we hold everything you hold dear

They protested so that I could
Saying that we helped build this land
We deserve to be treated like human beings
and we are going to take a stand

They tried and tried again, so that I could
Arrested and beaten, they never gave up the fight
We may have our scrapes and scars
But our eyes can still see the light

They died so that I could...

And I'll be *****
if I don't at least give
half of a ****
to remember all that they did
So that I could...
