What is it about our people's relaxed attitude to cannabis use. I do not mean everyone of our people but there is a significant minority who have a very relaxed attitude towards cannabis use. Infact some of us see it as some joke or an idea of fun. I hear stories of black people who go on using this drug into their 60s and what is worse is they smoke it infront of the youths who go on to believe there is nothing wrong with it. Has the time come for us to change our attitudes towards cannabis use. Haven't we got enough black people in mental institutions? It used to be a drug used by rebellious young men nowadays girls as young as 14 are joining in. What are your views on cannabis use?

I think it's no worse than alcohol. We've all had a drink so why down weed? I think if you use it so much that it starts interfering with your life or others then it's a problem. If it's just a once in a while thing, then I don't see the harm. I'm not saying it's harmless, but neither are half the things we do on a daily basis.

I'VE NEVER HEARD OF WEED KILLING ANYONE, YET IT'S ILLEGAL. ALCHOHOL KILLS MILLIONS BUT IT'S LEGAL. WHY? BECAUSE THE WHITE MAN NEEDS HIS LIQUID DOPE, THAT'S WHY.
HAVE YOU HAD YOUR WEEDIES TODAY?
    LAGALIZE IT!

    THAT'S MY "BIG" OPINION.

    I would not smoke weed.

The few people I know who have been weedheads since we graduated from school have done NOTHING with their lives. A friend I've known since I was 12 smokes so much weed, she barely maintains her job, sometimes I think she is no better than a crackhead - she seemingly works to buy more weed. Her oldest son never finished school, I blame her because she was so busy getting high she never paid attention to him. Now that he is in jail, and he smokes weed too, she actually has the audacity to talk ish about him!!

Weed may not be as deadly as other drugs, but I rank it right along with cigarettes...another addiction I wouldn't want.

I WAS MAKING LIGHT OF IT, TRYING TO BE FUNNY. YOU DIDN'T MENTION A FATHER IN YOUR FRIENDS SONS' LIFE CARRIE MONET, PERHAPS THAT'S THE BIGGEST REASON WHY HE'S SO MESSED UP. BTW I DON'T SMOKE EITHER, I'M ALREADY CRAZY ENUFF. I DO HOWEVER THINK THAT IT SHOULD BE LEGALIZED.

    THAT'S MY "BIG" OPINION.

    Bigtown,
His father is also a weedhead...he moved from his father to live with his mother...jumped from the fry pan into the fire. That is my God son though...and luckily now he is trying to turn his life around. He just turned 21, just had a baby and is looking for a job. He still smokes weed...but I keep trying to get him to stop - his mother (and father) should be all the reason he needs to STOP.

HAVING A CHILD SHOULD BE REASON ENOUGH TO STOP!

    THAT'S MY "BIG" OPINION.
