i called obama a coward. big mistake.

i been hit with a firestorm of outrage, mostly from females. emotional, ad hominon attack.
it has been explained to me that i am clearly not good enough to talk about this brother. after all he is POTUS and i am not.

do i need to be? is only one president allowed to speak on another?

is it possible to criticize obama or has he been elevated to demi god status?

Isn't calling someone a coward an ad hominem attack?

Attacking a man on his beliefs or policies is one thing.
Calling him a coward because he doesn't do, act, behave, speak as you feel he should is quite another.

Any man can be criticized. Of course, Obama can be criticized.

The criticism has to be substantive though and not petty.

I don't see this as an argument.
I really want to understand your point of view.

Followed by your explanation, I furnish mine.
The purpose of this discussion is to share opposing points of view and arrive at some common agreements despite the differences in opinion.

How has he not stood up to the Tea Party?
My opinion of Obama's character is that he tries to mediate things peacefully as well as attempt to remain above the pettiness.

On another note, the Tea Party has just as much right as anyone else to state their beliefs.
My opinion of the Tea Party is that it is fueled in large part by racism, but my Libertarian (Republican) friend vehemently denies this.
