Black Relationships : Can Men and Women really be friends?

I never have & never would consider having a platonic relationship with a man. The first time he or I would have a non platonic relationship with a significant other, things would change, no matter how hard the two of us would try to feel, think or state otherwise things would change & I'll not engage in such emotional instability, my only friends are female & as such any other relationships would in no way affect our friendship. To me a man & a woman cannot honestly sustain a truly platonic relationship for any length of time. I could be wrong but's that's just the way I feel.
