Today in the year 1925 Earl and Louise Little Blessed us with this genius. He left e Blueprint for our success, and was shot down before he could make go viral!
Seems like we need it more now then ever;
Having stated our determination, confidence, and resolve, the Organization of Afro-American Unity is hereby established on the 15th day of February, 1965, in the city of New York.
Upon this establishment, the Afro-American people will launch a cultural revolution which will provide the means for restoring our identity that we might rejoin our brothers and sisters on the African continent, culturally, psychologically, economically, and share with them the sweet fruits of freedom from oppression and independence of racist governments.
1. The Organization of Afro-American Unity welcomes all persons of African origin to come together and dedicate their ideas, skills, and lives to free our people from oppression.2. Branches of the Organization of Afro-American Unity may be established by people of African descent wherever they may be and whatever their ideology -- as long as they be descendants of Africa and dedicated to our one goal: freedom from oppression.3. The basic program of the Organization of Afro-American Unity which is now being presented can and will be modified by the membership, taking into consideration national, regional, and local conditions that require flexible treatment.4. The Organization of Afro-American Unity encourages active participation of each member since we feel that each and every Afro-American has something to contribute to our freedom. Thus each member will be encouraged to participate in the committee of his or her choice.5. Understanding the differences that have been created amongst us by our oppressors in order to keep us divided, the Organization of Afro-American Unity strives to ignore or submerge these artificial divisions by focusing our activities and our loyalties upon our one goal: freedom from oppression.BASIC AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
We assert that we Afro-Americans have the right to direct and control our lives, our history, and our future rather than to have our destinies determined by American racists, we are determined to rediscover our true African culture, which was crushed and hidden for over four hundred years in order to enslave us and keep us enslaved up to today...
We, Afro-Americans -- enslaved, oppressed, and denied by a society that proclaims itself the citadel of democracy, are determined to rediscover our history, promote the talents that are suppressed by our racist enslavers, renew the culture that was crushed by a slave government and thereby -- to again become a free people.http://www.malcolm-x.org/docs/gen_oaau.htm
There will be no resurrection or going back on anything that was. It's like integration, once it happened, there is no undoing it...simply because too many of our people have bought into it. Likewise, we have become a sophisticated people since the 60's with the ability to justify our positions on just about anything: A term that I call "Intellectual Ignorance". Intelligence denotes a mental ability and Ignorance is a state of not knowing....thereby Intellectual Ignorance speaks to our ability to defend and justify the very things that we actually have no knowledge of with the ability to make what we say sound rational when it is anything but that.
It is this unique ability of our people that along with the twin cousin called Cognitive Dissonance that will not allow us to see the value in anything that many may feel "didn't work the first time", so why should it work now mentality. This is indeed where we are at as a people and I suffer no illusions concerning it possibly being any different than this. The truth is this; Later for all these so called adults and scholars who are not radically and aggressively involved in our upliftment in terms of getting the truth out to our babies. No cut, no chaser and no mystery God somewhere that we must rely upon. It's now or never and we only have a certain time table to work with. So, no...there will be no going back to Malcolm, Garvey, King or anyone else. This is direct war and the enemy is before us and within us that we have to conquer.
National White Supremacy opresses the national Black population with techniques and methods that are hundreds of years old. So is there anything in the OAAU principles just 50 years old, that are outdated or would not work today or solve the national problems of the Black community?
Studying his message to the OAU now AU and its like nothing has changed, we on the Continent as always never take our Sisters and Brothers scatteredround the world seriously, i may be wrong but the truth is if we had taken our bro seriously our struggle for liberation would have gone further than where we are now....still fighting to be free.
I am Malcolm, I am Peter Tosh and i wont give up till Afrika and Afrikans are free.
In the True Spirit of Sankofa,
... To answer the Thread's question; absolutely, it can be resurrected:
BAMN - By Any Means Necessary
Otherwise, all the good this brother accomplished goes down the drain. Including his Message to the Grassroots, whereby he paints a pathway toward the solution: The Bandung Conference. In the link above, we build from that Conference, and offer real solutions...

My apologies but this was the OAAU the Organization of Afro American Unity! But I know he would have appreciated the context you put it, and the wisdom of what you say!
His Mission never died so there is nothing to "resurrect".
There are several organizations which over the years have continued his Legacy and continue to do so.
These kinds of questions remind me of a member who used to ask similar provocative questions not necessarily posed to move us into positive action but circular arguments that lead to dead ends.
For example, I know that the OAAU still exists, is based in Harlem, I believe, and within the last five years has organized at least one Makcolm X Day Commemoration.
I am sure that any one who is an "activist" that lives in Harlem or Brooklyn would know this.
Most AFRICAN AMERICANS I ASSUME DO NOT LIVE IN SOME SORT OF CLOSET OR SECRETIVE MASONIC KIND OF NETHERWORLD. THEFORE IT WOULD BE HARD PRESSED FOR ANYONE HERE AT DESTEE OR ANY BLACK GRASSROOTS PERSON IN THE 50 STATES TO SEE ANY FRUIT OR EVIDENCE OF THESE SO CALLED JEDI KNIGHTS YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT, WORKING IN SECRET!
The vision was in regards to the charter of the OAAU, not some vauge notions of ad hoc committes doing a little this and that in every "hamlet and molehill"
