Somewhere between paradise and diaster

For you I ended my season of virtrue
Assuming the rhymes of love were true
Expecting the sacrifice of the pure
To ensure our sweet love would endure
At least till we fulifilled every girl's dream
The one with the hubby, wife and kids theme

But somehow we got our steps misalign
And now I'm counting my monthes to nine
Sitting on the church pew looking out of place
While the saints shake their heads in disgrace
The scarlet letter imprinted upon by breast
While you stand back and stare with the rest

But oh how I thank God for his amazing grace
And the strength He gives to run this race
And I truly thank God for the lesson learned
I wouldn't trade it for all the money earned
For as a new life grows deep inside of me
I grow in knowledge that will help me be...

I grow steadfast and determined to be right
Gaining a brand new perspective and insight
I now know on whom I should really depend
Jesus, who will always be there in the end
In the mist of mess, He stands by my side
That is why in CHRIST I will always reside
