I feel like dancing...
I love thier music.
I hope you do know that Zydeco is African Creole not Cajun which is white, rural Acadian.
never heard of it before until now. It seems like a mixture of two or more kinds of sounds.
All cajuns are descendants of French immigrants to what was known as Acadie in Canada back in the early 1600s & 1700s. There are many blacks intermixed with the Acadian ancestors.
And.... Creoles of African decent have a stronge influence on Cajun culture.
I understand all that. But zydeco is rooted in R&b music and la la which are black/creole styles. It is in essence a form of African roots music.
Go back and look at the description of the video. The first word is Creole. A lot of folks confuse Creole with Cajun except for us with African/creole roots. I got some links to post on this later.
Too much going on with this site that I cant hardly post from my pc. Lost a post because the server kept timing out and it has taken over two hours to make a single post and now the shockwave player keeps crashing so i will just share a video and call it a night.
