    I experienced her
    on a sunny day...
    I was alone and
    it was mid afternoon.
She sat down next to me.
Lawd, she was butterscotch, gorgeous and
    highbrow.
I was in the middle of
reading Nikki Giovanni when she said
    she wanted to talk.
    Word? Hmmmm aiight.
    Ma said she wanted to
speak about my life's position and the ambitions
    I harbored.
So we talked. We flowed about
    God,
    The colors black and grey....
    Sunny days,
    memories of childhood loves,
    politics;
Man, chick was fresh, like ripe bananas.
    Asked me how did I like to express myself;
    completely caught me off guard.
At the time, I was reeling...
    sitting there deep in awe.
    Surprised that a woman
like her would even give me a minute
    of any hour.

I was too caught up and she pulled me out of
    my trance.
    Two snaps, *snap,* *snap*
    "Wake up sweetkoffee soul."
    She said smiling.
    Smile returned.
"Yo, I express myself through written imagery."
She smiles and the subject changes.
    She was breezy and idyllic,
like rolling hills or walks on the beach.
And we...were good, no interruptions, no misunderstandings,
    just good.
    Mid afternoon turned to evening.
stars in the heavens and constellations in her eyes.
    She made love to me,
taking me higher to a level of un-repentant
    transcendency.
Lawd, ma was fiery like hot coals and lava.
    She touched me deeply and
    sparked...
    New.
Leaving me feeling dizzy and out of breath...out of reality,
out of...out of....Have mercy on me Lord!
    Realization
crept up and knocked ya boi in the face.
"Goodness, I’m in love with her after just one taste."
This was better than love, we made exquisite.
She owned me, me owned she
Made me dizzy and in my pen her thoughts ran free.
I was her orchestra, her soloists
    her opera house
and she was my conductor, my captivator,
    my lover.

Her sweet nectar dripped slowly and smoothly from my pen tip
burning my paper and singeing my hands.
I never noticed that she was my muse
and I was carefully held captive like a P.O.W among the Taliban.
She left me streaming, streaming like urine from a drunk man.
    The problem was born.
Love and written images slipped from my lips, slid down my chin
    and puddled on my paper.
Ya boi was caught, and I could not see,
My earth slipping of its axis
    or the
fact that I completely gave all of me to
    a butterscotch, beauty named
    POETRY.

Have to agree with Alpha, that metaphor was smooth as silk. Posed like the craftsman you are.

    twas lush...
    like weeping willow trees
    dripping gentle-ly
    near some flowing stream..
    holding me...captivating.
    surprising me..
    with your poetry
