    Attention:

Would you rather spend cheap money on a burned CD or DVD, or would you want to go to the Best Buys and the FYE's and Circuit City's and all that to get it for more?

Tell me and the rest of the family what you would rather prefer and why.

If I aint downloading and burning, or dubbing, I got to a store and buy. Some artists and some movies I support....others, I get basically for free (or the cost of a blank cd or dvd).

I'll buy cd's now and then. I used to buy them all the time. The quality (of artist) is so bad that I don't feel bad about downloading and burning their cd. I'm not going to spend $15.00 on a cd when there will only be one or two good tracks on it. I'll just download and burn the 2 tracks for free and the artist can go back to the studio and make some good stuff. It's their fault for putting out crap. Artist that make good music, I'll spend the money for that. Maxwell, Lenny Kravitz, D'angelo, Erykah Badu, Norah Jones etc, I'll buy their cd without even listening to it first. As far as DVD's, I have to buy those. I can't stand watching bootleg movies. They're never the same. Plus I'm picky so I don't buy many movies anyways...so it's not a big thing to spend $20.00 every now and then for a good movie.

That's the key. If they want people to stop burning their cd's...then they need to start making good music. They're pissed because they are no longer able to cheat people out of their money. They have all these good songs laid already, but they spread them out so they can make like 5 albums. Then they put 2-3 good tracks and fill the rest of the album with garbage that they write in 5 minutes. Then they want you to buy it. No way. I never download artist that I like. People who make good albums...not just a couple of good songs.

Just another good idea the black Folks came up with to end white captialism! I know we don't buy bootleg DVD's (I personally will NEVER buy a bootleg DVD) but in big cities, the Black Communities take serious advantage of an album if it is hot, and it is coming to corner stores 2 weeks ahead of time. I buy burned CDs and get my music off the computer. Why? Because now a days they really do try to get over on you. I am fine with my cleaned, easy-to-listen-to cheap CDs. But DVDs, I get mine at Wal-Mart for no more than $16.00! I like it like that.
