I come to you as today as a student, adept, neophyte you get the picture.
    I come to seek understanding.
Now, What is money? No one really knows the truth behind it.
Money is a tool, but how can society place money higher than intrinsic values?
What's the real meaning of money and why we as a civilization let money control us?

We stress out about money, kill and steal for money, but has anyone stop to think of how to make money?
Have anyone thought of how to replace a piece of paper as part of a economic system?
How change this to where everyone truly benefit from a system that share wealth and power?

Invest in precious metals the REAL currency! This paper isn't worth much of anything in reality. It's worth lies in the viability of the US economy, nothing more.

It is more than just paper, as eventually the society will move away from the paper and metal and go straight digital upon the ends. Hence Hackers and ID thieves are the modern day bank robbers, but not to go too far beyond your question it is the current worldwide system of barter and possession and that paper, currently, is a a note that states you have buying power within that system. Even though systems (currently) are not on equal footing, that is what seems to be the ultimate endgame here. A worldwide currency system where all is digitalized and actual "money" is your blood, sweat, and tears or the blood, sweat, and tears of others.

Before discussing the nature of money, one should discuss the functions of money.

    Money has 4 functions:

    1) medium of exchange
    2) unit of account
    3) store of value
    4) standard of deferred payment

Function 1 is arguably the most important.

Concerning the nature of money, money is a creature (creation) of the law.
If there is no law, there is no money.

What we call money today is not money, but legal tender. It is used as money.
Money is metallic specie composed of gold, silver, or copper coin.

Making money is done by an organization authorized by government to produce such.
What is really of value are the things that people produce. Arguably, these are more valuable than the medium of exchange especially when the purchasing power is decreasing.

No need. Barter or go back to using metallic specie composed of some noble metal.

This is probably not possible. Some people are more industrious, crafty, or power hungry than others.

Don't forget stocking up on food, weapons, water, fuel, medicine, etc.

Now if you are talking about store of value, then I co-sign.

There are multiple items that can be of value: rights, food, production, interests, labor, etc.

Ultimately, it is all property in some form or another.

Property is ultimately what is of value, but not all forms of property are corporeal.

Oh, no doubt property is the value but to obtain that property is through either exerting the blood, sweat, and tears yourself or leveraging someone else's blood, sweat, and tears.

    That is true :).

Labor is the root of all wealth, in my opinion.

Thanks for all your answers and comments.
I am always learning something here compare to other site forum's.
It all make sense in one form or another, but I feel that digital currency is going to change everything.
There is one thing I learned just now, bartering is never going to be old.

I think this need to be seriously look at as a alternative as well as local currency.
Who knows what might happen, but I think a local currency and bartering backed by precious metal might be something we can do instead of depending on a worthless piece of paper, worthless in a sense that it's a fiat piece of paper.

Not really. Don't confuse the form for the substance.
I'd move away from digital currency, in my opinion.

A currency backed by precious metals is fiat currency in disguise.
Metals should be valued in metals. Gold for silver. Silver for gold. Gold for copper, etc.
Valuing metals in paper is what got us to this point today beginning with the demonetization of silver in Britain for the gold standard.
    This is bimetallism or trimetallism.
