Breaking the silence
Sister Destee,
I strongly disagree with the above statement. Speaking as one of his 'peers' my silence does not in any way translate into being complicit or accepting of what you deem to be "ugly, rude, disruptive behaviour". I have never been a recipient of, nor have I witnessed any display from Darkside M that would warrant me to take him to task. I suspect a lot of variables, products of the different ethnocentric cultures we subscribe to (which apply to me, but do not apply to you) are the reason that I am able to take such a stance. The following is an anecdote that explains really well what such variables could be.
In this incident, the storyteller was possessed briefly by a Voudon Lwa Gede. A Gede is a Spirit of the dead and are notorious for being crude and vulgar.
Despite the crudity, this is a powerful Lwa that is part of a unit who are usually called on to bring people back from the brink of death, sought for protection, guidance and healing.
In a way, Darkside reminds me of this Lwa and similarly, his propensity to disregard spoken/unspoken social rules and his ability to shock, all have not and do not serve as detractors to the fact (and I am confident that my peers will correct me if I am misinforming you) that he possesses a wealth of knowledge, is a powerful and skilled occultist and last but not least, has a genuine desire to impart this knowledge and information.
I recognize that he is a non-conformist, therefore I do not accept or believe he is unruly, although given the ethos of this Forum, I can understand that you would see him as being disruptive.
Yes, sometimes he can be dismissive or seem impatient, but Darkside Magick is actually mild compared to other occultists that I have encountered in my many travels online. Ones who you would never wish to darken the doors of Destee. I pray they do not.
Believe it or not Sister Destee, I am as sensitive as you are to coarse language, or improper behaviour. I do not swear/curse in real life and if someone does so within my vicinity, or levels verbal vitriol, expletives, or insults at me; it grates on my nerves, so much so I have to physically remove myself from there. This has happened online too, with the result being that I changed my username. I have no doubt this was seen as extreme, or being over the top, but to me, it was the only logical action.
I am sorry to have written such a long post, but I hope that I have achieved my initial objective, which is to speak and make known/set in stone, my opinion of Darkside Magick! overall, I would pick him over any other member in the Destee Spirituality forum for guidance and knowledge - warts and all.
