Well...I think it's best to have dummy emails. I only go to FB for Sorority Life, but it's a good idea to safeguard your privacy...anyhow. Everyone wants to be all in your business, these days. Random people encountered for a time wanting to be FB friends. <-- What's that about?
It's just entirely too easy for folks to get their hands on 'sensitive info'.
Most folks don't make it any better. They just get on the internet and give it away. They post their lives all over cyber space... with pics. They can be trusted to leave a trail and hang themselves.

HAHA! No joke.

Anyway I have dummy accounts for all of my internet happenings, you just never know who is ready to compromise you and you do not know anyone at all over an internet. Although I do post my pics (of me) as I really do not care who sees me because people see me everyday and I conversate basically the same in person with a lot more profanity than is advertised in my posts. I figure a face behind the post let's you know what is what, but then again who is to say the pic that is posted is real will be a question that might be posed. To that I answer you can believe what you want. lol


But yeah, I received the same e-mail and disregarded it right away as foul play as Chuck has e-mailed me plenty of times and I knew something was not right.

It does seem that Brother Chuck's email account has been compromised.

Our new software does not display / provide email contact information of Members (if no mistake).

So if Brother Chuck's compromised email account is sending you these emails ... it's because the two of you have corresponded in the past via email. He didn't just get your email account from the forum. You had to have provided it to him, some time in the past.

This has happened to me many times in the past. An email contact's account has been compromised, and i start getting 'weird' emails from them. I've learned to simply ignore such, but if one is not aware this kind of thing happens on occasion, you could have your system compromised too ... by opening, responding, or clicking on included links.

The person whose email account is compromised, is not always aware that it has happened, or what exactly to do to correct it.

I doubt that Brother Chuck is trying to scam us for money.

Brother Info ... thanks for the headsup. Brother ABSiblings says that Brother Chuck is aware that his account is acting krazee, but for those who may still receive emails from him, this is good to know.

Don't click on the links, don't send any money, and make sure you have virus protection enabled on your system.

Brother Info ... i'm going to change the title of this thread ... to ... Brother Chuck, your email account might be compromised.

From this point forward, we may be able to help him, give him some links on how to correct the problem, things such as that.
