At 40 and at the top of his game coming off one of the best season of his career
After taken hit after hit will he return next season or go back into RETIREMENT ???

I think his goal was to reach the superbowl and a shot at the title then retire
but coming up short and at his age the major hits he will opt out his last year
    and retire .

I would like to see him one more year !

i'm not much of a football watcher, though i do know a little about the game, and did get to see farve get beat.

based on what i saw, he better hurry up and get off the field ... shoooo ... those young men were beat'n da mess outta him.

i actually thot, if they had won that game, he'd be in no shape to play in the superbowl

he looked really wore out and tired to me

Well, well, well...look what I found, an arm-chair quarterback and really talking the game too:). Sister Destee, you are impressive with your critique, it was so on point, for real.

Yeah, it's time for Brett to take it to tha hizzouse.

Maybe he could get a commentator position on ESPN or sumpn, but it's time for him to stop playing.

I think Favre can still physically play at age 40 got to give him his props on that, he had a pretty good running game,as well as a nice receiver core that helped him look good. What I question is his judgment and decision making. I think he has been a bit over hyped the last 5 seasons, say what you want to,but the NFL's,NFC Championship game once again came down to Farve tossing a late game pic. That's not why they lost, really the interception was not completely Favres fault, but he does have a history of late game Interceptions. Especially in the last 5 years.

If I am the Vikings,I go with Mike Vick,or Tavares Jackson at the QB position in 2010-2011! You have seen what Favre will do,how much more proof is needed,he throws pics late in games, that will cost you crucial games. That is not to say that he cannot still play at a high level, just think the risk out weighs the reward. One thing he has over Jackson or Vick is experience, but again the experience has been that he loses games by him self.

    Therious,

The picture of Farve you've painted makes me know that the ladies are correct in their assessment. I too tried to find reasons to stay with Brett, and similar to you, I came up short...

Farve is a good QB with late games flops but if he can get a nice lead most of the
time is over looked but his body won't keep taking those kind of hits physically
he might go one more year that's on his contract.

Point made on the hits brother, and it was all those hits that caused him to throw back across the grain, a definite no, no, while rolling right, having only to run out of bounds or slide to victory with a possible field goal....that's got to weight into any decision he'll make towards coming back.
