Somewhere between paradise and diaster
Occupation
Teacher
I have got to stop the production
Ceasefire to my love and devotion
And begin an abrupt soul abortion
For walking away is my resolution
To this crazy devouring commotion

I hate to cross the line in the sand
But one of us has to rise up & stand
Standing for right and not contraband
Seeking more knowledge to understand
Or else we'll all die in this barren wasteland

For these Streets I have shed blood and tears
But no more grinding out of crippling fears
Fear that my cries would fall on closed ears
Giving my all but entrapped here for years
Well today the madness stops right here

I will no longer allow the Streets to define me
From here on out I shall determine who I'll be
Walking into new terrority to see what I can see
Aligning myself with my true creator, God Almighty
No longer can I tarry here but I alway remember thee.
